Test pilot 1 said..I heard that the thinking behind removal of bins was that if a bin ws full people would continue to put rubbish in/around said bin, but if you remove the bins people are encouraged to take their rubbish with them

It kind of worked at our remote yacht club. when we went out there we would find the bins full and rubbish around so we removed the bins AND put up signs asking people to take their rubbish with them. we still get the ones that have to leave thier bottles and nappies cos they can
early on there was 1 group that kept leaving a new bin(plus rubbish) and also all sorts of manky lounge chairs.
when we bumpeded into them at the lake one weekend ,we explained about the bin siuation, but when they packed up to leave they tried to leave it all behind, and werent too happy when we piled a sofa and 2 bins on top of their quadbikes, they did seem to get the message though
