High wind being 12knots. Sounds like an awesome buy for a beginner, launch it in 20 knots for their first flight

As much as people are laughing at this, it's actually pretty scary that some uneducated idiot may buy it and put it up in 25 knots without being the wiser. The results of this could be disastrous and the person concerned could well contribute to the death of another.

It will definately happen

Natural selection usually sorts them out and will relieve them of their cash. Usually leaving them with a piece of junk and a skulldrag or seven.

How many times have you seen this.. I know I have loads.

so if you see someone on the beach about to launch in 20knots would you.......

a) ask them "do you know what you are doing", to which they could reply, "yeah, no worries", then get beer and deck chairs to watch the train wreck occur

b) tell them that the kite is a total dog and they will die in the next 10 min, and talk them down from the impending disaster.

QUESTION ? Would this kite be suitable for a 90KG learner, would be using it in 15 -25 knots of wind, does it come with instructions, would you consider $500 buy it now, how much to post to south australia ?

REPLY, I don't think the kite would be good in 25 not winds, there is no instuctions with it andf I would not sell for $500. I do not know anything about it as I got it from someone who had to give up flying it because of medical reasons,To postage down your way would be about $100,

Medical reasons? He took it out in 25 knots and is now in hospital?

I can't imagine a 20mtr kite jammed into that small a bag, unless that's a MONSTER board beside it.

I remember those boards, if I recall correctly there was a 165cm version and a 175cm version...

Well, I thought I should do my bit to save someone's life.

mailed him this:

Dear jimbarb6567,

Do you realise that some beginner will die if they buy your gear???
20 meter is certainly not a high wind kite (anything over 10 knots and you are seriously risking your life)
I assume that you know nothing about kiting, this gear is totally outdated and the safety systems in those days were non existent.
Sale it at your own risk, you might get a little bit of cash for the board but please throw the kite in the bin.

and got this reply:

done

- jimbarb6567

However the add is still up with no changes , I guess,he can't pretend he wasn't warned.
