3/5 of FA. I woz there all day in 40 degrees. Not a breath from God.
They called it a day and the sea breeze kicked.
They pumped back up but to no avail.. not enough breeze to run a round....

Ah the Rat....well done mate. In a sport where levels are improving so fast, and injury is such a risk, it is a real credit to you to repeat.

Nice to see some rotation in other spots....good vibrant sport where staying at the top is tough. Would have loved to have been there.

Theresa took out the ladies, 2nd went to Ange, with Marine in 3th.
I'm pretty sure Cam won the juniors with Happy 2nd.
Sorry can't remember who won the Masters.

Fav moment of the event.... was watching the first heat on Sunday morning... the boys put on one hell of a show! It was Rat, Dan, Rich and Zebb!

Congrats to the Rat! He is certainly raising the bar.

I'm pretty impressed the job KBV did running this event! Thanks and well done!

Scott Fleming from Vic took out the masters late Sunday. I agree Missy, the first heat of Sunday was nuts. I didn't know where to look. Great event. Well done to all competitors and winners. Keep your eyes on http://www.kbv.org.au/ for pics coming soon!

A massive thanks to all the crew at KBV. The 2006 Nationals went super smoothly! Also a big thanks out to Ziggy and The Big Wheel, you dudes rock!!! The level of riding I think all will agree, was by far the best seem ever in Australian competion! I would also like to thank al the competitors, I am really stoked with everyones attitudes and willingness to help.

Massive props go out to the Rat and Zebb!! What a Final! Especially to Zebb showing his strength as a competitor after having to ride 4 heats in a Row, with numerous little hickups.

Congrats to The Rat & Theresa, 2 titles in a row! You guys both show all why your number one! Very professional, and a well desserved victory.

Congrats to everyone on completing yet another National Championships! They seem to be getting smoother each year.

Big thanks to the sponsors (Cabrinha, Slingshot, Q-Box, and any others I can't remenber) too! you made it very easy for the competitors with free entry, and nearly endless beer! Mmmmmmmm Beer!!!

Anyway all, a massive thumbs up! I had a great time, and look forward to the next!

regards,

JB

WTG Ben - thats awesome - I can see the ear-2-ear grin from here.
Next time round you will have to head west for some pre-comp training where 'hella strong' is the order of the day
CONGRATS - wish I had been there to see it.

Two competitors come out equal on the judges scoring.
They are then sepperated by a count back on the score cards,or the head judge decides.??

thanks puppetthats definently my plan for next year. i won the single elimination and than cam won the double so i had to Vs him twice the first time he beat me easily but the second time the wind was stronger and my extra weight helped he still beat me but the judges at the end told me it was a split decision which i guess means 1 judge said i won and 2 said cam won. to shacke4life- cam is an awesome rider and im not tryin to claim **** get a life dude
