Just checked it. Kawanas a wild and wolly 6-8 foot(not much bigger than yesterday) and 30-40 knots(wet sand is blowing on the beach up to head high). Pissin rain. If it was sunny you'd think twice about a run, on chooka's kite(he wouldn't mind if you left it out there, would he).

New kiteboarding makes a 5m which should work in these windy conditions. Has a 5th line so its easy to land, no inverting design etc.

I havent tried the 5m over 50knts cause we havent really had that strength this winter but the 7m works in almost 50knts.

Who's the pimp? NJPornstar??

Why does everyone have to insert an ad for their brand on a forum?

If you like them, fine, but why interrupt our thread with a plug for your business?

Anyhoo....patrolled Happy Valley several times today. Had my 5m packed but didn't want to go alone... nowhere to launch and waves breaking on the steps.

Any Kawana crew do a beachie?

dude i drove past golden beach at 1pm, there were large waves in the whole channel, whitecaps where there shouldn't be any and one lonely windsurfer out on a tiny sail. stood on the beach and it was gusting 15-35 knots by my reckoning. would have been way too gusty to be fun on a kite i reckon.

barrie the monsoonz would have been insane in that wind man, i don't think you would have been able to hold it in the gusts, too powerful. you need a 7m waroo or something cheap for these nuking days.

hopefully it eases up and clears a bit in the next few days and i might be able to go out.
