i have kited it a few times too.
+1 for it being cursed, i creased my kiteboard out there (in saying that, it was a ripper session). another mate got a brutal gash on his hand on a surf trip out there after going over the cheesegrater. also flooded the motor on the tinny one time and had a nice little drift/attempted row around on dark before finally getting her going. could have been operator error though.


definitely shark country - not just a beat up by the surfers. take care, and probably best with a buddy.
try a downwinder quinns to two rocks some time with a crew and scope it all out without pressure of getting down drift of the break and into a few of the dry reef head sections. there is some areas of sick flatwater and kickers along the stretch too between stretches of chop.
