So my orriginal comments about the Hellfish started this fussin'an'feudin'!!(oops! There I go with the hillbilly thing again!)

It may have been a bit controversial,but it IS THE TRUTH.
Go on,deny it. Tell us that no one had problems flying the Hellfish,that was supposed to make all kites redundant.
Tell us that it didnt fly backwards with ANY rear line tension.

Tell us that after hyping the chrome color (THE only color that Cuben Fibre came in) they didn't have to go back and make a new co;or because the silver color was coming off.

Tell us again how a 13 m Hellfish will replace our 16m kites,yet most people that have tried it clearly state that it doesn't. Some even claim THEIR 13m Yargas are better !(Go figure!)

These things are all true. Everyone knows it.

If they can get out of this,I will be highly impressed !
It will convince me that no matter how messed up things are,there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I agree Greg, The C-Quad was and still is an amazing traction kite. Its designs roots go back to even earlier kites like the still incredible Revolution kites. I remember using them nearly 10 years ago as stacks for buggying, incredible power per size and incredible upwind performance.

There are issues with this "new" flatter LEI type of design, that we are yet to hear much about due to the hype. Some people will no doubt be prepared to compromise, but I do not think any of the current c shaped kites are obsolete either.

it doesn't really matter if it flies a bit better, it needs to be the same price to warrent changing over from a great performing selection of kites available....to a new one

I don't think anyone's saying they won't perform, just that they may not be suitable for your style of riding.

e.g. If you only like doing wakestyle tricks then you're unlikely to buy a mutant style board, but no one says mutants don't perform.

We'll just have to wait and see what the pro's and cons are for these new designs. (Unless Steve would like to comment now )

Being Cabrinha, I don't think there will be any quality or backup issues.
The issues I forsee will be whether the kite suits the average rider, and jumping and sheeting out, and I am not going to make any statements about these until either I ride one or someone I trust rides one.
I am very over hype, Best's included.
