why are bows so expensive in particular anyway. Is it the overly complicated bar with millions of pulleys and swivels? I dont understand why they should be so different.

Its cheaper because that is BEST's market angle - sell as many kites as possible on a low margin.

Also - as I have posted before, BEST are a good copier, not so far a good innovator. Therefore they wait to see what the competition release, pick the eyes out of it and then release usually a good cheap & functional product.

After the Hellfish debacle, I expect BEST will be doing whatever they can to recover face - so expect some very low prices as they try and restore credibility and buy some bow market share.

I fly BEST Nemesis Kites are reckon they are as good as anything on the market - given that a kite is effectively a consumable product with a usage lifespan of a couple of years before you would want to upgrade to the latest "features".

My 10m was certainly rocking this arvo at Altona in some pretty strong & gusty wind conditions

Add the cost of bar and lines and you save a coupla hundred.

No doubt that "All other kites will be obsolete"

Apparently their next generation kite doesn't even need a rider.... :)

Hey User - are you getting bored with your BEST bashing monologue?

'Cos I'll bet everyone else is. Of course if you have a vested interest in talking down the brand your behaviour would almost be understandable - but not excusable.

How about a half-FULL glass approach my friend?

Hey,I didn't think I was really getting on the case!

I posted after reading a whole lot of bragging rubbish hype from Gumball.
Yep,you guessed it . The new kite jumps higher ,longer, kite loops easier, turns quicker etc etc than any other kite out there.

It most probably wont be another Hellfish, but the story sounds the same.

Its no use saying the glass is half full if there are only dregs left!

an exert from BEST's new marketing campaign, in response to irate computer nerds.

the new BEST Waroo

- jumps lower than you expect!
- goes upwind with effort, but not very well!
- doesnt relaunch all that well, and sometimes not at all
- maybe you should just stay at home.

G'day user,

Have you ever noticed that whenever YOU CHOOSE to use a term like hypothetical then you have taken a posiitionality in reference to your perception of the hypothetical, so therefore logic 101 states that YOUR positionality is purely subjective.

The hypothecitcal turd in a punch bowl.

Think about it.

Keep it really real.

$1560 for a 12 m ?

You can get a Swithblade for a few bucks more at the shop !
Much better kite ,much better bar.

Everone knows that the RRP prices for other kites that you are using aren't the actual price.

If anyone doubts, just go to a dealer and ask for a price .

waroo
12m $1560

switchblade
12m $1840

$280 difference, that's not a few buck user !, thats the price of a new harness with some change left over !

Much better kite ?, you seen and ridden the waroo have you ?, much better bar ?, real interesting user, seeing as no general public photos of the bar exist ?, I got some and I can tell you the bar is less complicated than the CB/SS/AR bar's...

arh yeah they are user... I pulled the prices off everyones websites...

I could use the same comment in regards to best... if someone came to me with a price to beat on a similar product, do you honestly think i'm not going to beat it ?

get real user... If you dont have anything valid to say dont say it !

I said ..go to a dealer and ask for a price . The prices on websites are RRP,everyonre knows that ! Or,they should.

So,I repeat, check the REAL price for a Best kite complete, then compare it with a REAL price from a shop, not a website.

Sure, the Best kite will be a bit cheaper. But I would much rather spend an extra $100-$150 for North or Slingshot than be seen with a Hellfish inspired kite.

Steve McCormack says,

"And it is a negative persons CHOICE to be dumb about reality, and blame someone else for all their problems, including prices they pay for anything................

No one is holding guns to peoples heads in this country to force them to buy anything.

Anonymous whining is completely stupid behaviour.
