Hi Surfers from Brisbane,
I am not so long in Australia any more (did some medicine studying for a half a year) and will go back in the cold winter of Europe, because the AUD is not so high at the moment I thought to buy a Wetsuit in Australia, but unfortunately I have no Idea where?
Please to not sent me suggestions with shops which are selling just one or tow brands, I am not experienced and so I would like to try a lot of different models to see which one fits best to my!
I tried to search in google but was not really successful. I would need a 4mm or ¾ mm long arm wetsuit and have heart that Rip curl e-bomb or O’Neil psycho (or like that) shout be good.
So if someone would recommend a special type of suit I will try to find it!
Thanks for your help!

We have the full range of Triple-X Titanium wetsuits in stock. They are half the thickness and double the warmth, i.e. a 2mm equates to a 4mm neoprene.

Range from 0.5mm rashie tops to 3mm full lengths, the long john titaniums are most popular as in the winter, one only need to slap on a rashie top to have the same warmth as a full suit, but yet works well as a springsuit or for the jellies.

Give us a call if you would like to see the range. We are at Shorncliffe / Sandgate, northside of Brisbane.

Heard that titanium coated wetsuits arent all the rage anymore. I hired one while at cable ski one time, and man it worked a treat.

But apparently they wear out a lot quicker and the titanium coating in them breaks down. Thats about the gist of it I think.

Of course old mate from surf connect wil defend it, but be warned.

I got a half short sleeve wettie from the blokes at Primitive Surf in Nundah awhile back. Quiksilver, good quality and on sale cause it was last years stock. Big shop, great blokes and suprisingly price is pretty good.

Merry xmas

Yeh Goodtime would have the largest selection of wetsuits I've EVER seen! If you want a huge selection, then that would be the place to go.

Check 'Primative Surf' out at Nudgee... They are great guys in there and will help you out... Otherwise go to Goodtime, they will have all the top models on sale because summer is coming here...

Steer clear of thin titanium wetsuits... 6 months of life and they break down and your 2mm titanium wetsuit becomes a 2mm neoprene wetsuit and will do nothing for you...

No problem with wear with titaniums. Triple-X has a lifetime guarantee on them. We started selling them since 2005, and only sent one back to date (user ripped zip due to misuse) but T-X replaced it with a brand newie without any questions. How’s that for warrantee! Forgot to say they are 100% windproof too (zero windchill factor) giving warmth a traditional neoprene wettie does not give. It feels like a second skin on you, with the fully sealed glued and blind stitched seams, I wear them teaching all day in the water without any stresspoints. T-X has a very high reputation in the surfing and diving community. 100% Australian company based in NSW. We supply to many triathletes and SLS clubs in Queensland and they give top marks on them. We started selling loads of booties lately too. They got split toes as well as traditional designs. Tons of 08 stock on clearance now, 2mm long sleeve GBS mega/supa-stretch steamers from $249 down to $89, 3mm down to $99. Absolute steal I reckon, that's my opinion anyway. For those interested, check them out at www.triple-x.com.au. They have distributors all over Oz.

At the end of the day, there are many good brands in the market, have a look at your local surf stores too. Find one that fits most comfy and suits your needs as well as your budget. Goodtime has a wide range, or down the goldie you have all the big brands outlets often at half price to retail. Aleeda there is another good name you can also consider.

You could always look at the Mystic wetties, easily the most popular wetsuit we sell.
They are made for the water temps you will get back home and they make kite specific ones like the Crossfire www.mysticboarding.com/

Philis, I have had a 4mm Rip Curl for the last 4 years, I used to use it frequently when I lived in Victoria. Now I only use it SCUBA diving here in Qld. That said, the thing is awsome. Really good quality, durability etc. I have an O'Neil that I use sometimes up here in Qld, it is by far the most comfortable wettie I have ever used, but it is only 2mm, so it is bound to be comfortable. The advice I would give you is to try a lot on and do lots of moving around in them. You will get hot in the shop, but as everyone has a different shaped body, you need to work out the best wettie for yourself. The guys at Goodtimes I have found very helpful. Just thinking, you might be able to pick up a thick wettie easier in WA, so if you dont find one here, all is not lost... (you are going there next?)

How did the arms come up from the jellies?

How does any company place a lifetime guarantee on a wetsuit.. if that is unconditional i will buy one for sure.. i use a wetsuit about 300 times a year for surf and kite and i cant believe it would never wear out.

Yes I would like to see the limitations on a so called "life time garantee" I'm sure they wont keep replacing it for the rest of my life.
