I'm looking into maybe upgrading to a cardboard and was wondering if anyone rides their wake style boards. What are they like? The picture on their website of the wakestyle board with the single into double concave tip looks pretty good.I'm 85 kgs and an experienced rider. Can't decide on what to get.
Cheers.

I ride one of their double concave boards, its very nice. Best way to decide if you like it is to try 'em out. They ride similar to the new undeground boards (also with double concave) but as you already know are much cheaper. It's debatable if it's the double concave working but you do notice the board is very free and doesn't suction to the water when you try and pop. Also goes upwind really well, which is an added bonus.

Have'nt ridden one of their wake style units but they just made me a new light wind board 146 x 45 which is awesome. Its my first Cardboard. The construction and ride are great.

The only thing better than the Cardboards is the Cardboard service. I dealt with a guy by the name of Dan who was happy to spend a whole lot of time explaining the variables of a light wind specific board with me before building it and shipping it to my door step. Super helpful, super friendly and a real kiting enthusiast.

And NO, Im not a pimp.... just really happy with the company and its product.

very similar. basic same principles but the underground uses a wooden core which weighs like 5gram extra but is stronger. i think the cardys use foam like most other people.

I would say very different.
Different core, concave, outline and bottom surface.
All of which add up to a very different feeling board.
Try them both if you can and make up your own mind.

Hi I have 2 Cardboards. The first one was recommended by Nic at StKilda Kiteboarding and was a single concave. The second one was after I tried an smaller Underground double concave and a very smaal cardboard. After I pesterded my dad he got me a new double concave customised Cardboard 126cm.

My Dad said that Dan at Cardboards was really helpful in assessing what I needed - 51kg and 13 - now 14 - but I wanted a board that had good pop.

The new board was customised with my name on the underside. It's really good and now dad wont let me do any tricks in the shallows as it scratched the board.

Anyway I live across the road from the beach and I sneak out so I do not have to do my homework - I am really happy with my Cardboards and dads ok too.
