Well done Kite Republic for doing something for the public beaches we all use.

I notice WA are doing something similar.

Has anyone any idea what the kiters at othe Victorian beaches including Altona, Brighton and Hampton are doing?

I understand these Port Phillip Bay beaches are heavily accessed kiting beaches used by general kiters and the industry related guys. I understand retail outlets arrange lessons out of their retail outlets but appear to take no responsibility or at least an unknown position for maintianing the beaches they use.

I wonder if they will arrange similar initiatives to KR? I would welcome their responses if they are on the front foot here and helping Clean Up Australia.

Hi Chris

Great Morning and thanks to your folks and your crew from Kite Republic and other volunteers.

I could not beleive the number of bags of rubbish collected.

Maybe KBV [and maybe other State Kiting Associations] should take this initiative and next year extend it to all kiting beaches in their jurisdiction - it would be a great way for kiters and other volunteers to show that they care for the beaches they all use during the year [and maybe gain some brownie points with local authorities and the public]. Remembering clean beaches are generally safer for kiters and their friends [no glass or other sharps to cut feet or kites on].

Cheers
