I have received from "the accused' the following documents:

- Registered post registration document
- Formal apology letter from Australia Post (including a payment of $100), dated 9/11

These documents are concrete evidence that no "fraud" has occured, but it has been a basic error by Australia Post who lost the goods. These two documents and the timeline backup that all Tuna's statements have been accurate & honest.

Vasco has also confirmed that Australia Post did indeed contact him to verify if the goods had been delivered, which I believe further verifies Tuna lodged a formal complaint with Australia Post.

I'm not happy about having to write all this here, and would much prefer it was private, but everybody wants/needs to know, as it has been a public dispute.

It's an unfortunate situation, and a reminder why it might be best to deal with these matters via the due process first (contact seabreeze first, not use the forums to "out" people).

Vasco out of pocket $350, Tuna out of pocket $272.20 ($350-refund+postage), somebody somewhere now has two ripped kites & a bar.

There's been enough damage done & time consumed over this already, I'm hoping we can get an amicable result out of all of this...

Hi Laurie, again nothing personal,....

I have to admit I am a little confused by the mathmatics of this..

None of this would have occurred if

1 - if the seller had indeed bothered to email me the "Registered Post Documentation Document" above mentioned
2 - if the seller had bothered to reply to my messages and kept me informed

3 - Now the Maths: - How do you figure your line above

"Vasco out of pocket $350, Tuna out of pocket $272.20 ($350-refund+postage), somebody somewhere now has two ripped kites & a bar."

So far I am the onbly one out of pocket here mate. I outlayed the 350.00 and have not received it back. The seller received the money, banked it, now he's got another 100 from the Post Office and I still am out of pocket. If you're going to make statements like above let's get the numbers right.

That may be so "if and when" I get my $ 350.00 refunded in full - do not make me the starter in this. I gave more than fair opportunity for this to be finished ages ago.

Since you have the calculator do you have any idea when the funds will be returned to me - or your statement "vasco's out of pocket" has a permanent meaning. We "don't know" where the goods are apparently but can you explain where the money is?

What a load of crap....someone needs to take a spoonfull of ceeement and harden the F up.....don't you blokes realize that Kevy Krud is screwing our country over and is going to tax the bejesus out of us with his BS planet warming garbage....and all you blokes can do is whinge about a couple of ripped kites...geez...get some priority into your thinking

I'm pretty sure you'd think differently if it was your $350 that was missing.

Crikey, I thought that bait would attract more than one bite...especially a Mexican one ...of course I'd be pissy if it was me and of course I would be utilizing all avenues available to me to recover my $ or goods and believe me I wouldn't be as gentle as my mate Vasco ( and a good mate he is ) HOWEVER, the intent of my post was the same as all my posts are meant to be......to lighten up the conversation

SO....to the real issue....None of us will have $350 to blow on ripped kites if KEVVY KRRUDD keeps up with his push for the ETS.....you will be struggling just to pay 4 your power bills let alone all the other stuff that will be taxed to the sh!thouse

SO ...in closing Saffer.....THANKS FOR THE APOLOGY

Just because you asked for an apology, I now refuse to give one out of pure principle. If my wife doesn't get compliments when she fishes for them, then I don't see why you should get apologies.

If you attempt to contact me further to get an apology, I will ignore all your emails and pretend I'm on a boat. If you ask Laurie for my number, he will probably send you the last number I gave him which was Kevin Rudd's personal line.

If you attempt to solicit free beers, I will spike the beers with rohepnol and leave your sorry ass (excuse the pun) outside a gay club as a free for all.

I now consider the matter closed. Please speak to my lawyers.

Don't they teach maths at the schools in perth?

Vasco is out of Pocket $350...Tuna is currently up by $100 until he refunds the money, then he is down by $272...and Laurie needs a calculator and/or some maths lessons

I think this 'Public Dispute' was a good learning experience for me in every buying anything remotely!

1. Cover your back - use paypal, COD, etc (buyer beware)
2. Cover your back - insure for the full cost of items posted if more than the standard $100 (seller / poster beware).

Other than that, trying to drag it all through the forums in a 'name and shame' is like trying to close the quick release after the kite has flown.

Otherwise just buy stuff in person with cash

To all of you waiting next to your popcorn bowl for the conclusion of this very exiting saga I am now happy to say this matter has been concluded as it should have -

Paypal has advised me (it took 48 minutes on the phone) that funds have been cleared for my full refund. It will take another 72 hrs for the funds to show on the CCard - possibly 2 weeks at their rate

Credit should be given to Laurie for saving the bacon of Seabreeze customers once again.. the crowd goes wild in applause while Buzz Lightyear fades into the background smirking away..

Sir V over, on this matter ...
