I have received from "the accused' the following documents:
- Registered post registration document
- Formal apology letter from Australia Post (including a payment of $100), dated 9/11
These documents are concrete evidence that no "fraud" has occured, but it has been a basic error by Australia Post who lost the goods. These two documents and the timeline backup that all Tuna's statements have been accurate & honest.
Vasco has also confirmed that Australia Post did indeed contact him to verify if the goods had been delivered, which I believe further verifies Tuna lodged a formal complaint with Australia Post.
I'm not happy about having to write all this here, and would much prefer it was private, but everybody wants/needs to know, as it has been a public dispute.
It's an unfortunate situation, and a reminder why it might be best to deal with these matters via the due process first (contact seabreeze first, not use the forums to "out" people).
Vasco out of pocket $350, Tuna out of pocket $272.20 ($350-refund+postage), somebody somewhere now has two ripped kites & a bar.
There's been enough damage done & time consumed over this already, I'm hoping we can get an amicable result out of all of this...

Hi Laurie, again nothing personal,....
I have to admit I am a little confused by the mathmatics of this..
None of this would have occurred if
1 - if the seller had indeed bothered to email me the "Registered Post Documentation Document" above mentioned
2 - if the seller had bothered to reply to my messages and kept me informed
3 - Now the Maths: - How do you figure your line above
"Vasco out of pocket $350, Tuna out of pocket $272.20 ($350-refund+postage), somebody somewhere now has two ripped kites & a bar."
So far I am the onbly one out of pocket here mate. I outlayed the 350.00 and have not received it back. The seller received the money, banked it, now he's got another 100 from the Post Office and I still am out of pocket. If you're going to make statements like above let's get the numbers right.
That may be so "if and when" I get my $ 350.00 refunded in full - do not make me the starter in this. I gave more than fair opportunity for this to be finished ages ago.
Since you have the calculator do you have any idea when the funds will be returned to me - or your statement "vasco's out of pocket" has a permanent meaning. We "don't know" where the goods are apparently but can you explain where the money is?
