OK I'm bored. Winter sucks.

If you surf the web alot, you need to use firefox. It's just so much better. If you've got broadband (ryland, psylor etc) then it's even more better.

Here's my top 10 for those in the know. In no particular order.

1. Adblock. a good example is never seeing those annoying rotating ads at the bottom of kiteforum again, one click to block them.

2. Down them all. Saves all the vids or pics on a page or linked off a page with one click. Good for pr0n as well as kite stuff.

3.Paste and go. saves hitting enter when u paste an address.

4. tabprefs (or tab browser preferences). Set up your tabbed browsing

5. Disable targets for downloads. Stops blank pages appearing when downloading files.

6. FLST. takes you back to your last tab when you close one (like opera does)

7. Allow right click. Lets you save stuff when the web site tries to stop you.

8. download statusbar. Nice for downloading stuff.

9. copy plain text. Handy sometimes

10. Media player connectivity. Big thanks to Bondo for putting me onto this one. Lets you open embedded quicktime movies and real media files in 'windows media classic' player (which you'll have to find and download). Bye bye ****ty nag screens from quicktime, and real media player tries to install spyware **** all over your computer. This is a great player and this extension lets you choose it automatically.

There's plenty more here addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/extensions/
That's just my pick..

Enjoy,
Dave.

Dave - I just posted a couple of Grease Monkey scripts Ive been working on. that is without a doubt my fave extension - it just opens up so many possibilities. you can download two scripts ive written so far from greasyscripts.blogspot.com/

you'll need to install greasemonkey first, before the scripts will work.
greasemonkey.mozdev.org/

also, on the unit converter script there is a couple of bugs - it does not yet correctly handle a value range (eg 12-15 knots will only have one value converted, not both), and i have to disable it to post on some forums (simple on/off click in bottom right hand corner of FF window). should have it sorted in the next week or so. if you want to beta test it though that would be cool!

it just highlights the .81 mph and converts that to 70.39 kts ... :S maybe just a simple correction like an 'IF' statements that contains a '.', then include the numbers before... wrong phrasing, but u got what i mean...
cheers

yeh - doesnt do decimals yet, but people on forums rarely post in decimals so that will be a low priority fix... thanks, any other bugs then post them, i can take it.
