Yep, it sounds like it!

I haven't seen the DVD yet, so I'm not 100% sure!

My two cents: Very second grade, lacked in music quality and i think the camera person may be developing parkinsons disease. But thats my thoughts. Thanks to Mick and Ian for your contribution, cheers.

thats some pretty harsh comments paulio. Shannon is a top bloke that put alot of hours into that and came out with the best aussie dvd ive ever seen.

It wasn't meant to be a personal attack. I dont see why i should band-aid my response when i was being honest. I am all for Aust made products, but when the standard is the same as others. Credit given to shannon for his effort and may this be his start to a great future.

I thought it was great.

Dont forget the aussie tall poppy syndrome shannon - ie knocking down anyone who has a go by the blokes who sit on their arse in the pub critisizing everything and doing nothing. Your vid was excellent - detailed enough so we can get a good look at the tricks, showed some great west aussie locations, and not too serious. Well done.

If you did not know anyone in this vid or did not know the area they are riding could you honestly have the same opinion that you have now?, I believe not.
Because i only recognised Felix,Paul J and Zeb. And really only took notice when i realised that it was someone i knew. The rest is good riding but Be honest with yourself! .If you still willing to pay good bucks for it- go ahead. Just my opinion.

Bacon dancing: see thats the good thing about me im constructive in my critisim, see i dont buy or support Aus goods based on the fact that its auusie.Cant wait for an Aussie LEI kite hope you put your money where your mouth is and buy a quiver.

Got a free copy of this and have watched it several times now....
If you cant take this as constructive then dont reply.
I hope who ever it concerns can take this on board and know that it is just someones opinion who wasn't at the nationals and doesn't live in WA.
IMHO - after seeing the trailer the film was a big let down, glad i didnt pay money for this one, I was expecting to see more of the other riders Australia has to offer & not so much of WA's talent(got that impression for some reason), got sick of seeing certain tricks repeated over and over and over and a different angle and over again. (all from the same rider same spot same day)

The intro & second section are the best parts of the film, with zebb's double to blind, Sean Virtue bodyboarding Cyclops and 5 seconds of Hadlow magic the highlights.
The video gave me the opinion it was just a film to showcase WA, and if thats what its purpose is for then its a job well done.

Otherwise i felt it was a very poor reflection of Australian talent as a whole, with repetition of a lot of tricks and lack of certain new school tricks, a lot of things could be cut out of the film.
After seeing what they where pulling at the PKRA Venezuela this year the video made me feel like Australia is being left behind.

Hi all,
just wanted to add my 2 cents to people burning shannon's FA2. Firstly well done shannon although i have not actually seen the new FA2, it's people like yourself that are promoting the sport.
Everyone has there own opinion about stuff. Maybe the people that think it is not upto standars should have a go themselves to find out how much time and effort it takes for very little reward.

Even thou i have heard mixed reviews about it good friends of mine on the gold coast have said that it was quite good.
All movies have ups and downs but i will still buy it regardless as it helps the australian kiteboarding community.
I can't belive that some people are ****ty at the movie being all about WA, HELLO WAKE UP. If you have't seen the first one, guess what? it's all about WA. What else did you think was going to be on FA2.Good on you WA boys for putting together a flick, it's more than we have done on the east coast.

I have spent time in WA and riden with all of the guys in FA2, and i have to say they are all of a very high standard.

regards, Paul Jackson ([email protected])

ps. ryland can you send me your email address.

well while we're all having our 15 minutes

i actually quite liked it - sick wave rading, lots of tricks i will never know the names of, let alone be able to do, and a few familiar faces...

stacks up reasonably well against the stance dvd mags ive seen, though they are a slightly different format.

we definately need more aussie videos like this - nice work!

If it is in a public place, you do not need their permission.

Constructive criticism - could be a little less repetition of particular tricks, more footage of ryland being gobbled up by monsters :)

Great film all up.

Looked good to me, for those in the east, learn to read the title, there is no hidden information: WA is part of the name, and as far as I know most of the heavily featured riders are the cream of Australian kitesurfing. Only thing wrong with it, this is epp. 2 and Im still not in it

When at the viewing on the gold coast I went off by myself I got lost. A koala tried to eat me! I think next time if I shove less in its mouth it will be able to do it.
Oh the movie was ok 2. Shame really about my lack of knowledge on koala stuffing could have been epic. Shannon did you film this in betacam the movie that is. I liked that you did not use the terribly tacky transitions that are around these days. Things I do like “The Iris Out” i.e.: transition displays an image on the screen as if it were viewed through the expanding aperture of a camera they are wicked. also some curving of the image to make it look like a fish eye I feel add it to the more extreme sport genre i.e.: skate movies and such forth use it so often its almost expected these days in a movie. Maybe even a few titles in it to break it up and give information such as location and rider names
I like the sound track I enjoy Californian bubble gum punk it keeps the adrenalin pumpkins. The song about the guy lying in the gutter what’s that track called I have needed that song in my life.
some things about what I have read above I’m not sure How the guys think u can offer a projects that is of such a Hollywood degree as they come to expect. I don’t think they understand the time effort and money it takes.
