Far out in one spot the windsurfers tell you not to pump up your kite in "THEIR" area. In another kiters tell you to go to the noob beach! I thought this is Australia and the beaches are for everyone. Sounds more like a hardcore surfing movie. Where is the respect?
Just ask him which council bylaw that is in. If he drifted into you and you were pined to the beach he didn't take care me think.
No use living in a dream World mate !
This IS Australia, and the fact is although the law says so,and Forum bleeders say so,the beaches ARE'NT for everyone! There are unwritten tribal laws, and sometimes it is important to know them.
The top of the pecking order is a Southern Sydney beach ruled by a gang of thugs who don't tolerate outsiders and have become popular heroes with movies being made about them !
A sad fact for sure, but its a fact.
You can't go to North Narrabeen, and paddle out into the surf on a good day with an attitude like" This is a public beach, and I am entitled to catch any wave I want"
Hahahah! That won't work! Likewise, you don't kite there.
However I am always surprised when I hear of conflict within the kitesurfing/windsurfing World. The vast majority are easy going but there is always one goose with an attitude.
I guess I haven't been out at these crowded spots where there are problems.
The other thing is,owing to a strong feeling of self preservation, if I go to a new spot,,I spend a little time to survey the possible dangers and if its crowded,I attempt to keep clear.
