I am obviously happy windsurfing is back in but seriously the first vote was such an underhanded sly one then we lobbied to get back in they should have allowed kiting and windsurfing in.

I think ISAF and IOC have forgotten that this is supposed to be a competition for amateurs and they are now swayed by the mighty $$$ .... so conduct a sh!t vote, wonder why we fired up, and then upset the kiters trying to make it right.

If I raced a 1970's design plywood boat that looked exactly the same as some other class of 1970's plywood boat, I'd be real scared of ISAF for 2020

I don't think people were getting into it for 'Olympic glory'... It was more for the fact that being an olympic program, there would be more organisation and training going on, especially compared to what was currently happening in racing.

I do think that we got a big boost from it, but it will be up to the kiters to continue making the racing happen, and that's EASY!!!

Bring on the nationals... Who's running this years by the way?

Sail Melbourne is all GO in 2 weeks and supporting kite racing 100%.. Finally a legit comp that Aus kiters can get to in their back yard & have way 2 much fun. I'm celebrating with a hard core beer - rum & coke is so old school. All the way from sunny & windy WA, not a problem tonight in 25 knots plus on race board just down sized to a tiny 9m kite.
