My hard and fast rule.
drink beer eat pies sh1t a lot.
A clean bowel is the most important factor here.

If pies and Guinness don't work i suggest colonic irrigation or just some soap and water up the ass.

your duties are as follows:

1) you may wear nothing more than string bikini and high heels. less is acceptable

2) you will pump up all kites required, put on the lines and launch every kiter

3) you must carry atleast 12 beers on you at any one time and curtsey when replenishing one of your kiting masters

4) provide colonic irrigation for rellie on a daily basis .. apparently it helps him kite

5)umm i dont know 5 .. but im sure i can think of something give me time

Ugh, do i have to educate you guys on everything? A string bikini is a normal bikini, only the straps are much thinner than a normal bikini. Follow this link to a string bikini: http://www.seafolly.com.au/swimwear_view.asp?group=1&story=1&image=4

I refuse to parade around in a g-string in public. Sometimes it's nice to leave things to the imagination. And you can forget the colonic irrigation. Sorry rellie, but that's just a bit too far. Everything else is fine, but you might be waiting a while for your kites if i have to pump them. I'm lazy.

YES PLEASE. FOR SURE
Your jargon is gobblydegook to us laypeoples.
But Im sure heaps of us out here would be much keener to get onto (and stick to) a program if it was a "KITING" program.
Anything you could get out to us would be great.
What about hooking up with someone like Lance and making a short vid program. Reckon you could sell heaps off SB and it would be pretty easy to put together.
Whatever - but something would be fantastic. Bring it on !

I could sit and twirl those bikinis all day, changed the colours and all. I was looking for a button to click on for different sizes but alas it seems one size fits all.

Back onto the original subject: I do a couple of beach runs (soft sand) a week which seems to keep the knees and ankles in pretty good shape and legs feeling strong without the jarring you get from road running. In the last 2 years or so I've gotten into paddling a ski which gives the upper body a pretty good workout. Works the torso, shoulders, back, arms. I used to have back troubles, just the usual aches and pains one gets at nearly 40, being tall, lifting stupidly heavy weights at work, playing footy in younger years, etc. The ski paddling has made a big difference, feeling stronger and more supple for it for sure. And it's best done when there's little wind so it ties in nicely with the kiting.

With the injection of cash and worldly possessions promised I'm sure that we can afford an electric kite pump if one isn't "donated" to the cause to speed the process up.

Had a good work out today, alternated drinking arms during the Eagles game, swapped hands with the remote every commercial.

I was so excited at the Eagles losing, I celebrated with a few extra ales and got more of a work out than the usual. The only other times I drink that bit more is when the Dockers win (so not that often) [}:)]

Go Freo!! kick those Roo's back to North Melbourne in style. I need another work out.

J quigley speaks wise words, as an over 45 I bike everyday around 20ks. And paddle a ski regularly. Either some long walks or jogging in there somewhere. This looks after your cardio and helps build leg strength and torso /upper body condition.
However if you are into the unhooked wake style handle passes etc. then you will need to do more upper body strength stuff and flexibility exercise will help. pilates and yoga are good for this. Don't get to fancy and try and taylor your program to your style of riding. Bike to work and back if possible. Use stairs instead of lifts. Its just comman sense really. Do press ups and chins lots of dips this will save you paying for a gym membership and help buy that new kite.

Ha ha ha Blaster, celebratory beers have indeed been rare for you (and your purple skinned bretheren) this year.

Well at least the arm toning watching the mighty Eagles get thunped didn't go to waste. I imagine that extra strength was handy for holding your bucket as you ralphed up your sphiny yesterday. Karma has turned to haunt the shockers after years of pulling 1 point wins outta there butts it has swung to 1-4 point losses several times this season. I don't actually enjoy seeing the Dockers lose but I do love the 'cat's bums' expressions on the smart alecs and other bitter 'Docker-chips-on-the-shoulder' folk at work though.

At least September should be intersting for just about the whole country this year. Minus that small principality of Purplusfremantilus.

The Earth is slow but the ox is patient..... oh and the dockers are just bloody excrutiatingly painful for their supporters! Good luck next year (with a new coach and captain).

I knew there was something fishy about you havox. Bloody farking personal trainers. All they do is shout at you and tell you how useless you are. Then its "come on you weakling just one more" and when you reach the point where you normally give up they shout even louder and everybody in the gym thinks you are as weak as piss. All you want to do is bash the crap out of them for making you hurt and look stupid but you can't even lift your arms high enough to give them the finger let alone swing a punch. grrrrrr.

go to the gym and do a pump class, nothing works you harder - and as a side benefit the majority of the class is female, the down side is - no matter how strong you think you are - guaranteed you will have women lifting more than you, faster and longer than you so set up at the back of the class and only start with a max of a 10kg bar... doesnt sound like much be re - evaluate that thought at the end of the session...

Go the mighty Dockers...
