Hopefully they start handing out free kites this time around... I'd like a whole quiver.

I Gave you both red thumbs.

First for bringing up politics and second for thinking "The big lame G A Y churchy Loser" could do better. Just to quote his daughter.

How could you avoid politics on the day the country died. Iam not a supporter of the mad monk either but at least his damage was less than the redhead....

I'd rather pick my bum than pick either of them. I heard Donald Key was the most popular vote this time around anyway...??

I'm not ignoring it, but I don't need to see it on a KITEBOARDING forum.

I agree with you Beersy. I'd rather have a government that gives us heaps of stuff for nothing than have a big lame G A Y churchy loser as a PM. It might mean we need to pay more tax and puts the country into more debt, but if the farmers in the middle of nowhere get super fast optic fibre internet imagine how quick their response times will be on Seabreeze!! Well worth the expense in my opinion.

I am sure many of those farmers actually kitesurf
Probably more into buggying..
Even if not, some might use the new bandwidth to troll around on Seabreeze.

Labor is only in because of an agreement with the greens and the regional independents . the good news is that regional kiting is about to explode .there will be many more wind farms in regional areas as part of the greenhouse gas reduction (carbon tax ets whatever you want to call it )thing . The good news is that in the background AKSA has been secretly lobbying so that The windmills will have the ability to be switched on as mega fans on the light wind days (powered by all the hot air out of parliament house ) and becasue of all the water that the govt has been buying back there will be dams built at the bottom of them .Here is one just outside of canberra
(the pollies have been bust building this one for themselves so that they can unwind after a harrowing day negotiating with everyone to get a new dunny built on the outskirts of Tamworth for example)

If you are in a regional area Rob and Tony have negotiated free kites for all (Bob katter didn't like the idea and spat the dummy)

Dont think so mate, the Greens will declare all waters super sanctuaries and kiteboarding on any surface will be deemed environmental vandalism and the sport wil be shut down and taxed an additional luxury sport tax so that the dole bludging hippies can have a pay rise in the dole.

Gees I'm glad Labor is in, NOT! No we're really F*&cked

Not everyone is self employed and some of us would rather not bend over and think of England whilst big business plumbs our vegemite canals.

Some of us also realise that to enjoy things like watersports (and even spearfishing ) we need to look after our environment both on land and sea. It's not always about consuming all that is out there before some other self employed chap beats ya to it.

Almost half of Oz agrees with me but then almost half doesn't.

Better the devil. IMO - even some of those that voted for the mad monk would have bitterly regreted it down the track.

How's about that wind ey? Too bad I'm at work hoping not to get plumbed any time soon!

the scary thing is that in reality the greens policies really are that nuts. Today was a bad day for australia. Labor are socialists at the core, and unless they are an exception to the history of socialist regiems around the world, then we will be much worse off than under the capatilist LNP. Only 34 % of australia voted for the reds(that's 3.5 out of 10), yet they now weild power!.

"Many forms of Government have been tried, and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time."
Sir Winston Churchill, Hansard, November 11, 1947

"Neither party is mine, not the jackass or the elephant."
Chuck D, By the Time I get to Arizona

"Despite the popular idea of anarchists as violent men, Anarchism is the one non-violent social philosophy.… The function of the Anarchist is two-fold. By daily courage in non-cooperation with the tyrannical forces of the State and the Church, he helps to tear down present society; the Anarchist by daily cooperation with his fellows in overcoming evil with good-will and solidarity builds toward the anarchistic commonwealth which is formed by voluntary action with the right of secession."
Ammon Hennacy

By the red n green thumbs Im guessing this is a labor (a vote for green is always a vote for labor) dominator thread so far...we are all fekd!

I blame the Aussie public for this one. People really need to look past the leader candidate, they are merely a front man/woman for the rest of the party and their factions.

We had the chance but threw it away!

Almost forgot - I also blame the metro style hippy wannabees in Melbourne
