Apparently not one person has been killed by a hammerhead shark worldwide.

I did not think they were on the danger list to humans

Perhaps they can teach the others some manners at the dinner table

you have prob seen on the news, my mate got attacked by a bull shark under windang bridge while snorkelling. he's allright but it's still a little disturbing happening in the lake but it was bound to happen one day.

Why was he snorkelling in the lake?

OK Rick - i launched at Blacksmiths today and turned to my kitebuddy and said -"just incase i get eaten by a shark, ive hidden my car key in the roofrack" as soon as i said it i knew i cursed myself! So i tacked out and entered the Swansea channel mouth ( Entrance to Lake Macquarie) and sure enough i fell off my board! I figured i better bodydrag to it ASAP as the tide was going out and it was feeling sharky! Well along comes a 3 meter shark and he does a big circle around me and im trying to stay calm , got to my board and of course i fumble like a goof because im s****tin myself , survived the encounter to have a beer and complain about my smelly wetsuit. dont want to do itagain!

R U serious or just taking the micky out of all the shark stuff going around ATM

I was in there by myself for the most part of 3 hours yesterday & 2 hours today (from 6pm).
Didn't see any but there is a lot of rods hanging off the breakwall ATM
I must admit when I fall off lately I am keen to get back on quickly

I'd be more worried about the white pointers up your way. how about the pic in the paper of the surf school in northern nsw with a great white 30 meters away from the students. The instructor copped some flack for not alerting the students, " I didn't alert them cause the great white was only cruising past, not behaving in an aggressive way"
In my opinion he probably did the right thing.
