WooHoo,
it is good when we joke!
Gruezi, when I will be in the stomach of a great white, the shark will have a problem: he will get poisoned
And if anyone calls me whilst kitesurfing, even if it is my missus, can get lost and leave a message.
And by the way, I've been to the doc, for my theree months shoulder check, and all clear to go kiting.
Now i just need some wind......

Is an anonomous person on this thread trying to do bad impressions on Gonzo-journalism....Hunter S Thompson is dead...
BTW. How many kiters do you know who can do a perfect self rescue?

Not many, if any....(Scribe)

Dave,

There is not perfect rescue (self rescue).
There is a rescue (self rescue) or a casualty

So Silvu

Why do you kite out into the middle of the ocean, through shipping lanes with helmet on, impact vest on, PDF documents and mobile in hand knowing that there is a darn good chance you will have to be rescued.

Isn't that just incredibly stupid?

I wonder if the local sea rescue are smiling as wide as you?
Anyway you could call them on your mobile.

"har....Yes Silvu here.....yars i am indeed in ze ocean......yars i am 35kms offshore...my kite is down....yars need to be resued.....yars could you hurry um big oil tanker coming this way..."

Sounds Zen to me

Actually silviu is a cool dude he puts his money where his gob is.I met him on the beach while he was cruizing the west, helped me out to blow up my 20m experiment with his electric pump, so lay off, and get those teeth fixed

lol.
In case of emergency....
BREAK GLASS.
Grab the cellphone and call triple zero.
Dial a hero.
Don't forget the waterproof bag.
It's standard gear for kite-cruisers.
It's the foolproof rescue.
The heros are on tap....
just waiting to take your call.

The only kooky thing that I wear when I kite is a big, cheesey grin.
A smile on my dial.
But I do love my 'LaunchPad'. (patent-pending)
LaunchPad gives me confidence on those light days and the heavy days.
I invented it, you know.

I was assuming waveslave wore one of these when out in the water ..

www.avert.org/sex-stis/safer-sex-hiv/female-condoms

To protect him from those gay kiteboarders/wannabe kitesurfers or anyone that fly's an auto zenith wind inflatable kite! Or worse.. Goes by the name of steve!! LoL!

could also have the multipurpose of being used as a wind sock to measure how windy it is..although when pooing to depower his kite can see it would be a negative for the colon flushing. so can understand why its not used.

Oh well I was wrong - that is why assume is just another way to make an ASS out of U and ME. How clever am I to play on words!

lol.

Seeded thru frustration,
Born of necessity,
Gnaraloo inspired and tested,
Engineered to Australian Kitesurfing Standards,

LaunchPad (patent-pending) is the ultimate in simplicity and safety...
From the most sketchy-ist of self-launching sites,
thru to the most deadmeat of windshadows....
the kite-betty is no longer required.

I can't believe no-one has thought of it before ????

Relly, Relly, Relly,

You should go back to the primary school and learn a little bit of Geography: Port Phillip Bay is not the middle of the ocean, but is the middle of ...the action.
Or better get an atlas and look where Melbourne is located.

As for the rescue guys, they always up for a ride in the middle of the bay with or without reason, so do not be so much worried.
And by the way, I love my "gadgets". And I am not "patenting" them, if anyone wants to copy them, they are free, if they can improve the safety, the enjoyment ore just ...you know.
Cheers.

Tombstones, Centipede, you know...the break.
The sketchy bit of coastline that's hellish for self-launching.
I'm not talking about Gnaraloo Bay.

This difficult stretch of skinny / no beach with rugged rock and sharp coral inspired the LaunchPad.(patent-pending)
It was invented for Tombstones.
But it also works great at my local deadmeat pointbreak launch as well.

LaunchPad, the sickest, self-launch system on the blue planet.
It's better than an assisted launch.
Safer.

Actually,
I'd like to see a kite company pick it up and run with it.
Incorporate the LaunchPad with every kite they sell.
To come in the bag,
along with the bar & lines and repair kit and big f.u.c.k.-off pump.
To be standard stuff.
