Im staying on Anse Vata bay in Noumea, I have read that this is the only place to kite around Noumea.
Also, ill be on the Ile Des Pins in Kuto Area, is kiting realy banned in the bays around this area? Whats the low down? My mate said that kuto area was the main kiting area on Ile des pins, although, he could have easily meant windsurfers.
I read that a water taxi is about 60 bucks out to the Nokanhui attol? Is it worth the mission? It looks like it based on a few pictures I have seen..

Hi, I've been to Iles of pines but on a catamaran to Nokanhui attol we could kite at that time but my parents been there and just been to Nokanhui for the day ,my father was so disapointed , the chief of the tribe said that he couldn't kite there he took him on one of the next island for 1/2 day the locals there are really bad with kitesurfing , windsurfing, if you go to Iles of pine with the "Betico ferry" I think there will be no matter about the weight but if you fly there be aware of the weight it can be very expensive only 10kg and few kgs in cabine !!!that's not much. Now there is a wonderfull spot called "Poe" north of Tontouta Airport just after Ouano it's on a very nice lagoon you have a camping ground and a kitesurfing school this spot is also nice , then in front of le Meridien Anse Vata ,and just across you've got Ilot Maitre you can reach this Island by small water taxi just in front of the Tourist information .Now I suppose you will meet many kitesurfers there who can help you !!And I will be there for KPWT from 29/11 to 10/12 Cheers Marine

I believe kiting has been banned on most of Ile des Pins for a few years now.
