Get Funky,
Instead of hiding behind your computer screen why dont you try and be more proactive on the beach, as this is obviously getting you nowhere. I'll give you an example.
Following the previous thread where it became quite angry and heated i went to pinnaroo the following day and immediately approached Darren to let him know who i was and discuss the issues that were brought up.
Contrary to what many may think, it was not heated and we had a relaxed civilised chat to each other.
I raised the following points with him.

1. I felt that his pre-emptive approach that we should all move out of the area on a saturday arvo was a dangerous and negative move for kiting. If we start to take this approach where do you draw the line. Do we give up woodies for divers, pengos for kayaks or even scabs for swimmers. He then suggested signage and i agreed that this was all that is necessary.

2. I asked if he was going to start doing regular lessons at pinnaroo and he admitted that he was and that he was going to run a part of his instructor course there as well. (This is something i think he should of admitted to in the previous thread as there is definatly a commercial interest.) I said that it could get a bit crowded and he told me he would break up the groups during the instructor course and take them to different locations. I also suggested a couple of spots he could try.

3. I also noted that he was teaching straight in front of the walkway and suggested that he should park his boat and teach slightly to the north as steve used to do. He agreed and told me that he had only set up there so he could keep an eye on his trailer and there were not many people using the beach at the time. No one has any objections to him teaching providing he isnt always in the way.(a little bit we can cope with).

Darren also told me that the cat club were going to give him a key so that he could put his trailer on the beach. This hardly sounds like the actions of a group of people that are pissed off with us. Darren must be one sweet talker.

Get funky, in regards to your issue, why dont you grow some balls and go and talk to her. I dont expect others to do my dirty work, why do you?

Chris Mcfarlane.

Thanks to Ray and Chris and James and others that I spoke with today at the beach, it is always better speaking in person rather than from behind a computer screen.

I do like people who up and front an issue head on, not unlike myself. I am sure that if others walk up and say G'day and voice any concerns we can work them out.

It is my intention to teach from PP in the future and also from Mullalloo , maybe a bit less after Rob G. had his stuff nicked from the beach whilst teaching yesterday. Anyway, I wish to blend in harmoniously and hope that my school helps newbies become more proficient more quickly so as they are less likely to be in incidents.

I will always endeavour to stay out of the way of the general crowd and also will always lend a hand to anyone in need as I have done to date. I hope my presence at PP is seen as helpful and positive and trust that once you get to know who I am and how I operate you will see this and understand that my interest is not strictly commercial.

Please feel free to approach me at the beach when I am not teaching, I would like to meet you and hear your concerns or whatever. Jees I might even bring down a case of cold beer one arvie and we can have a few whilst chatting. Today would have been terrific, beautiful afternoon and great sunset.

Steady winds and Peace to all,

Darren Marshall

I really do have much better things to do than reply to some of the inane comments here so any way the aim was not really to bitch but more to gauge if this was a familiar experiance at PP. According to the 2 guys I spoke to it was. Quite simply I thought this person would only respect an opinion from someone of an equal skill level so no lack of guts I just really don't get off on abusing people so wanted to avoid losing it with someone so carelss of others safety (and her own). As for guts umm what are your comments for then?
Well good luck to any other losers who want to take a shot, but what will you do to amuse yourselves after this thread fades away - print it out and hang it above your bed for a woody at night?? Yes I thought so... Boy if you really are desperate enough to head to a spot because a hot chick of questionable brains kites there maybe a 0055 number would be easier. Hey that way your personality won't get in the way of a good time either big guys

To those that tried to contribute something useful to this thread and others (whether they agreed or not) keep up the good work.
This is a great site but can't keep the inmates in for the weekend I spose

Dude you need to chill, I'm no brain surgeon - oh hang on a minute - yes I am - anyways - you need to let go of your unhealthy obsession with poor old Tuva and try to ignore bad influences in your life If you're not careful you're gunna get a job in some post office and turn into a serial killa like 'Berkowitz' [}:)] Sounds like you're already hearin voices dude! Remember this thread www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4519&whichpage=2 probably you're hopin no one else does aye! Nah just messin with ya head -

I have the solution for you,
The CCMC have approached me for an "image change" They see kiteboarding as just the thing to show the community they are clean living folk.

At the moment I'm sourcing 15 14m kites and up as the lower end of the range for them with larger kites needed as they are all about power.
I'd like to see ANYONE tell one of them off for parking their kite high as they go through the learning process when they should have their kite low. Once I get them up to speed (and on it) I'll bring em down for a sesh.

Keep your eyes open in Gero! New beginners never looked so big and scary!.

God I love this forum.

You will never sort out the situation with that girl on here, in fact it could inflame it if she reads this!!
the only way to improve the situation is by forming a friendly realtionship with her and explain the situation to her.

As far as having more begginers in the area due to Darren's school - well you just could not have a better person than Darren to be teaching begginers and looking out for all your asses when you stuff up!
There is no way Darren would do anything that hindered others rights or safety, he is an asset to your area, have a chat to him if you have an issue with any aspect of his school.

The solution is simple. If you can't cope,STAY OUT OF HER WAY !!!

Just stay clear,go upwind,go downwind,just go a distance away from her !
