New kite boarder - Gear Issues

Gday, Im new to kiteboarding and was wanting to buy some new or second hand gear. Problem is Im a big guy, 6'4 105 kg, was wondering if any one out there has any advice for me about buying gear, kite size that would best suit etc???

hey mate i would always recommend new gear if you can afford it but as for style of kites i would probably lean towards a sle (supported leading edge) as they have a far better wind range compared to c kites. with sizing is depends on where you are from if you are in WA i would recommend a 12 for Perth but east coast i know guys my size 66 kgs using 15's . with regards to board sizing i would star out on no smaller than a 140 as you want this extra size to help you get up on the board and improve you board skills.

with kite brand i would only be being biased but if you want to p.m me and ask anything feel free

Buy a Cabrina SLE.
Every year SLE kites improve alot.
