Met my lovely wife back when I was windsurfing, she took up wind surfing too. We bought our first kites together and a house by the beach to fuel our passion along with 5 trips to Maui along the way.

Always great when your partner kites / sails with you, gives you an excuse to buy more gear that 1/2 size smaller etc.

She doesn't kite or windsurf anymore due to health issues but is always calling or texting me to let me know when the wind is up or there are kites on the water. She always pushes me a bit to buy new gear with "you work hard, you deserve it!". We now have a daughter who is a water bady, now she's 8 she wants me to teach her to surf and at some point kite.

Life is good...

7 kites in one year, I think you should try a different shop, this one may be taking the piss...
