The 4th MOVIE of the LEN10 movieseries...!!
21-4-2007, el yaque, Isla Margarita, Venezuela
Here it is, presented to you by Slingshot and Mystic...The LEN10 AUSTRALIA movie!

I was in Australia at the beginning of this year for about 2 months...Had lots of fun, met many cool people and had some pretty good sessions!
First i was in Melbourne ripping it up in St. Kilda, after that i went to Perth for 3 weeks...My favorite spot there Woodmans Point, had a lot of fun there...
My ex-girlfriend Susi Mai shot some cool footage, as well as my mate Steve Tonini!
Thanks for shooting and master DAVE from Kitecinema.com for all the editing skills he put in there...

CHECK THE MOVIE!!
let me know what you think.

(little secret) There's another sick movie coming in a little bit...Stay TUNED!

Apart from his on water stuff Lentin and co are good with the edits, and I really enjoyed this clip, yep I am sick too.
Rover looked like he enjoyed the gull eh?

great vid but.. putting a camera next to a bird and waiting for your dog to kill it = not cool

I think the gull was doomed anyway, and they just happened across it. Gulls never sit on the ground when humans or dogs are close by unless they are very sick/dying.
Gulls are one of the cruelest animals you will ever see! Thats just a fact, they are tough and ruthless survivors, and awesome partners with wind!

Putting it in the film clip is controversial for sure, maybe a bit deliberate or calculated, but still courageous, just like the man himself.

The way the Lentin and co portrayed the horror of it was cool though and very, very funny. Rubin pushes kiting to new limits, he will suffer consequences, which it would seem he is well aware of and is prepared to pay, the rest of us can watch in awe!

There's no doubting his skill & commitment. I don't know how his knees, ankles and the rest of the bod can & will handle those landings. And they're the ones he makes!!!!!!!!!
ps I've watched that a few times and the seagull was sick; but still didn't need to die for entertainments sake.

Why not put the seagull in? What... didn't it happen?

Some of us just don't like to watch animals being killed.

The bird was OK. The dog didn't bite the bird and letted go less than one second after the shot in the movie.

Sort of like what my cat does with mice until I come along and step on it.

Yea, the first condos at Woodies have already been sold to Burkie and his friends by guess who.

actually...looking at it again in more detail i think that seagull was a stunt bird. Stunt birds are highly trained proffesionals and are used quite extensively in film productions, he woulda been fine....both him and the dog are probably good mates and i bet the scene would have been rehearsed more than a few times before actual filming.

I'm sure i've seen its feathers in a few other films....Jonathan Livingston Seagull, The Seagull, The Secret of Seagull Island etc etc.....

We did not see any gull being killed.
We just saw a dog gently grabbing ano obviously sick one in its jaws, it was probably just taking it down to the vets.

This was DAVE's response for all the bird-lovers...

YOU Animal dudes should chill:

Here, the seagull sequal is NOW online !

www.kitecinema.com

Only to let some overreacting, crying retards know that we are sick,
.. but not that sick.

And SS is a superchill company, a good sponsor to Ruben, and has a big hearth for the kitesport and it's people. Why else would they make good kites for all the kiteboarders but most of all : endorse kitevideo-making and the Video's to be free for all on the internet?
It's not that they are Microsoft or a whalingfishing company. Come on.

Chill out.. etc. we are kiteboarders.

btw.
It's a birdretrieving dog , trained not to harm birds and deliver a bird intact to it's boss.

BTW. Seabreeze ROCKS!!!

And check out my NEW MOVIE...Made by your own Andy Gordon!!!

http://www.kitecinema.com/len10/theWESTERNshoreV2-HL.mov

Keep on Rocking!
Cheers Ruben

Calling everyone "overreacting, crying retards" who voiced their disapproval hardly warrants the dignity of a reply. The fact is if you put that type of animal cruelty in a vid on an open forum, where you have asked for everyones opinion; be prepared to take the critisism. Next time pick on a cane toad! Btw I am chilled champ

Right-on Pearl.
The seagull 'humour' on the vid stinks.
Leave our Aussie wildlife alone.
It's protected by law.
If the seagull was ill and dying....
let it pass away in peace.

If they had filmed a seagull pecking away at a dead dog...
would that be 'funny' ?

confuses me how they think we would fall for the line they are sacrificing their time for us for free.
it would have to be the best advertising method in kiting, everyone knows slingshot=ruben lenten from it
on that logic they should encourage people postingt he movie where every they want and thus be subject to review esspecialy for actions that would be thought of as ileagal being displayed for entertainment

also the post by len10 changes from that of ruben to an associate to ruben again
its all advertising

Pots calling nothing, man.
Simply saying,
Being cruel to defenseless Aussie wildlife to gain a cheap laugh or two,
and then maybe sell a cheap-arse kite or two....
well....that's so not chilled, dude.
It's just a stupid ad.
