Still a newbie on this forum but been posting and moderating on forums for some time, so i am going to stand on a podium for two secs...
It’s always the same old story egos and flaming taking over any decent constructive discussion (the operative being constructive)... as puppetonastring stated it’s mostly slaging going on and what can be expected but for the commercial business to post rebuttals and so around it goes.
No one has proved anything in my honest opinion, except showing timid egos, childish school yard behavior and probably poor business decisions.
From what I have read of this posts thread, some customers that were invited to a resort for promotional purposes were asked to leave because they obviously didn’t suit the demography that the resort was trying to serve. There could be a whole range of reasons why the customers were asked to leave but what is apparent is there’s obviously allot of grief. Do I care about this persons or that person’s story? Not at all! Even if I am writing this up it’s a forum after all and so I am able and
expected to give constructive views based on the perspective you guys have given.
From what I have understood the resort was ill equipped at the time and in defense some of theses issues have been fixed. its up to the resort to market their products effectively to the demography of customers they wish to lure (I don’t think posts on a forum is the right way even if it is in defense as it just causes more negative feedback as has been shown to do.) customer feedback is always important as well as customer care it may be that on both cases this has been neglected and I am sure any business savvy owner will take note of mistakes and improve after all it in their long term interest.
Personally if I was in the same situation I wouldn’t have posted in the forum but used other methods like competitions and more advertising through using the forum banners, this helps other potential clients make up their own mind and shows your business is a professional one. It also a better way to get your message across as you dont get replied posts that twist your content.
Anyhow that’s my two cents.
On a personal note the best holiday I ever had was in 4 star tent accomadtion at Exmouth with a communal based approach. Had to cook and prepare your meals in the tent kitchen with the other customers, and the only thing to do was snorkel, use the kayaks to go out to the deep lagoons or laze about on a hammock reading a book. I loved it and that’s the kind of holiday I would go on again only this time as a kite surfer unless of course I win a trip to fiji
