What are your boardies made out of... steel? I didn't realise boardies carried mystical armour properties. I used to wear boardies over my suit for sailing as the grip tape plays havoc on your gear, used to tear up two pairs of shorts a season.

How about boardies under wetsuit. WOuld that fix the "my parts can't get comfy today" problem?

I had no idea somany people at the beach percieved me as being gay - and all cause of the shorts, Its amazing I havent had a proposition yet. In fact cant believe there are so many gay people kiting (if shorts over wetties are a definite sign)- I guess they have good taste in sports as will as interior decor and fasion.

... you're only gay if you push back... if you really want to know how many gay kiters there are.... go onto the windsurfing forum and ask there.... shorts over wetties just gives them more ammo.....

I wear board shorts over my wetsuit so i can put my car keys in the pocket of my shorts. My wetsuit doesnt have pockets. Couldn't give a rats what others think about this. Its better than having keys, gear stolen from the beach by scabs. Can't believe people get so wound up about what others are doing or look like. Who cares!!! Just kite and get on with it.

I know sailboarders dont wear shorts.

Man I wear them, I feel like a right kook without them
But I dont wear shorts over the wettie when Im surfing.

Paddle surfing with boardies over a wettie is stupid - creates drag and therefore bogs your performance

Not sure about boardies over a steamer (bit too euro for me), but boardies over a springy or shortjohn looks cool and kiting is all about looking cool, isnt it ??

When I see a guy kiting without boardies, it looks like a cyclist in the wrong place ... so not cool it makes me cringe. For gods sake put some clothes on and give us a break !!

seperates kooks from good kiters,

wen u have no boardies on u have no rank.. intermediate riders require to wear speedos of fluoro yello green or orange colour with a big red P on them then when you become advanced you may slip on a pair of board shorts.

Please paddle out at, say, Cronulla wearing your boardies over your wetsuit. All that extra drag (that apparently disappears in summer conditions) will be the least of your worries LMAO

PS there's a little elastic thingy you can hook around your keys in most, if not all wetsuits.

PPS we are all laughing at you when you wear your boardies over your wetsuit. You just don't know it.

wearing a shorty wettie without boardies on top is like wearing short shorts. no one takes anyone seriously that wears shorts above the knees it just looks wrong. no style there. epecially with a harness ontop.

p.s. i will admit tho wearing a full length with boardies is totally gay.

Its to HIDE all those stains caused from cleverly discuised wordings such as:

1-1 or 2-1 posititions forced upon us (some like it that way) by gay kite companies who say we should 'just stay on the edge ' - 'time it right' - 'pull that bar' & 'POP' Yeah Baby Yeah ! then change positions for a more aggressive or smoother ride!
