Good sesh... thanks for getting my Board Blownaway. Nice heavy consistant wind, a massive 5knot+ current and a good time to try some new BIG moves. I got nailed real good a couple of times one of these we got on camera doing a failed triple backroll, I couldn't figure out why I had so much horizontal speed but after looking at the film I discovered I was on the way to putting my kite into a left kiteloop whilst I was doing a right hand (goofy footed) cut. Anyone keen to go out again tomorrow??? I will be there provided my knee gets better over night (I twisted it when my board came off on one foot). How much fun was it when we were all flying down that strech towards cotton tree, even randoms were cheering each other on and giving the thumbs up it was wicked. I was trying to see how far down I could get without crashing my kite when the wind stops as you go behind all the trees. It gets really bumpy in there towards the end. Its so much fun just bunny hopping all the shallow sections whilst charging a full speed.

I was a little pissed with that guy on the Purple white and yellow Peter Lyn though. He kites 1m behind someones board when they were about 50m downwind of it obviously struggling to get it as it was going out to sea. He also just watched three seperate people's boards get taken out in that massive current. I was one of these people when my kite was inverted and tangled. Its not all about yourself mate, we help each other. On another occation I was getting sunseekers board, it was obvious that I was in a search for it and the guy just keeps coming towards me eventually cutting me off giving me this dirty attitude look. Our kites brushed together and almost tangled. All I could to turn it away from him hoping and let him have right. Disappointing when we are all there with all smiles and you have someone there with such an attitude. I know for one thing that if I ever see him in trouble I am going to turn my head the other way and keep kiting as he does to everyone else.

yeah those speed runs where insane,I would love to know what speed we where getting up to.
I am always keen but its up to my foot on whether or not I go out again today, its a case of fun now pay latter.
Nice stacks Echostorm haa haa but watch out for those kitelooped back rolls thats wot stuffed my foot, one foot came out of the strap an then landing in the shallows an it shattered.....6mths later, stoked to back,I have to take it easy though, its hard when your flying along on those speed runs in the glassy water to resist the temptation to send it the other way an get some serious air timeFoots gettin stronger with every sesh.Wont b long now b4 I am back in the waves wind just changed from ssw to E 10 to 14 an building 20 to 25 SE today hee hee
Hopefully I will b there.Might take my gps an check the speed runs,I think its only 20 knts speed limit hee hee wouldnt want a ticket

Yeah great session, hope to be back today. The Peter Lyn kiter that echostorm is talking about had a yellow and purple kite - no consideration for other people at all.

So echostorm, what's happening with the SCKS club are we goin to catch up for another session or meeting on where to from here, or since the last meeting.
Any downwinders on the weekend, as I might be able to talk my wife out of escorting her shopping adventure in Brissy, yeah my opinion means nothing. No darlin your arse does not look fat in that!

I'm really worried about the weather forecast for Tomorrow - Sunday is not looking too good either. Probably be rivermouth session though - lets wait and see.

We do need to get together though to discuss a few things in moving forward. So bananboy let's just pray for good wind - I would hate for you to have to go to Brissy shopping.

Paul, I have your number now so I'll be in touch

The Synotpic situation is not good. Less wind to come..

A high in the Tasman Sea is directing moderate to fresh SE trade winds along the south Queensland coast. The high will weaken and move away to the east during the weekend.

Goldie is 20knots SE (11.30).... best chance for a kite is now.

Met up with Paulio and the crew at the rivermouth - the tide only started to run out at 3pm so we had a few walks back upwind - was keen to meet the SEQKA guys and get some tips for the club - Rooey got some forms from Paulio so we are making some progress.

Will keep all posted - spoke to mike today and we are keen to set up a bbq for next weekend - Rooey, I'll give you a call in a couple days for a chat.
