Lake Weyba on the Sunny Coast. Best flatwater I've ever kited, especially on the Murdering Creek side in a NE'er. Actually it's the only flatwater I've kited Dodging stingrays, rocks and crabpots makes it more fun
It makes me gree with envy, all that wind in WA and far Nth QLD. I guess thats what makes the prefect kiting location, you goto get lots of consistent wind, but an isolated exotic location helps too, with a variety of flat water and waves. Having kited many of your top spots i concur with many of you, so heres mine.
I personally think Lizard Island and the Blue lagoon in particular are over rated, great wind and scenic location but it's still pretty choppy. Anyway these are my top 3.

well andy o agrees with me so i i would like to add another 2cents.
Associations have there place so good stuff ksa. Competition too although profesionally I believe we need more nurses and teachers but thats just me.
Keep in mind wonderful people that your pass time is young and growing by the day. I surf alot but i am turning to kite and many others will too. The guys from ten years ago notice, ten years from now you will notice, ten years after that your really gonna notice. Surf spots are in magazines today, that were surfed by guys, no one has ever heard of, so long ago, no one remembers and if they do, it sounds like bull**...and those places are running out now. While others are ridiculously crowded.
TRy to keep that bit of gold to those who find it. by making it your culture. Communicate but keep it somewhat private. For people of the future if not the future you. The kite forums i have read so far are filled with helpful people its bloomin great! The same culture that help each other out, Saftey connisuers, who discuss their knowledge and experience in tech and technique.
the shirt is no big deal, like you say who hasn't heard of exmouth, but then again twenty years ago had you? I bet a few poleys had. (i love that name!!! I just used to call them wind wankers but I guess I one now)
This is a bit of a thread hijack, so my sincerest apologys if/'as no offence is intended to anyone
now a tshirt has someones local printed on it...
Would like some feedback if anyones got it and i promise I wont get fiesty and keep writting back!!!!

Geeeezeee what a topic to narrow down to 3 contenders...
IMHO - So far NOT mentioned unless I skipped over them (longish post) for surf conditions would be Cactus SA, Merimbula (bar and ford oval) NSW and probably Spotty (X) or Gnarloo Station WA - although WA is in general a little too cross on shore to be pristine surf conditions for kiting...
I have windsurfed some other great places BK (before kiting) especially around the East and West Coast of Vic which has some really nice wind and consistently big swells. Also all over WA from Esperence to Spotty but hey on any given day there are such beautiful beaches all over Australia with 3D playgrounds!
After reading the latest article on Hawai (Maui) in online IKSURFMAG where visiting kitesurfers are treated like leapers I believe we live in a pretty lucky place for kitesurfing!!
