Was thinkin the same Sandman.
Where was everyone?
With some of the claims and egos I read about on these forums I would have thought there'd be a few more out there.
I saw 3 of ya between Trigg and Brighton and from what I saw you guys have some big balls on ya!
Was great to watch and hopefully with a couple more years experience under the belt I'll be joining in some day.
Hope it was as much fun as it looked!

I officially need a 2m with depower
A BIG DEPOWER
Heard that best does a 2m Waroo
Now thats fast!
Would be interesting though how much power i generates in 44Knts

I have a 2m inflatable and it works really well in winds from 20 knots all the way to 75 knots, great fun. I use a 2m pansh Ace in gail force winds. So much fun and you can even do big jumps, So SO fast !!!

Also broke my ankle the same way but it way over 50 k not winds and I jumped too close to the beach and landed on hard wet sand. NOT MUCH FUN !!

75 knts?????
holy *****************************************
fixed bar?
wats the depower like then.

the small kites are more powerfull then you might Imagine, Just really fast!!! you can't make a mistake!! and you can jump high on the 2m inflatable. huge depower..

I have gone out on the water on a 1.5 foil no problem!!

I guess if the wind and rain co-operates then first light at a lesser known reef break south of here would be the go.

Hey Walks and co, I've been hiding indoors the last two days (12 hr shifts).
But today I found the balls (I just came back from a walk and there were lots of them washed up on the beach as well as half a tree.....WTF?).

Got a couple of things to do this morning but you know where you can most likely find me after lunch.

Tis looking like a washing machine on the heavy duty wash cycle though, so if it hasn't cleaned up a bit I may have a look elsewere, just look for the little red, yella and black Kima.

Think that's a water ski park somewhere south... lots of fun if the wind is too strong or light. [}:)]

Myself and Jez managed to get out yesterday (friday). A bit hairy at times. But it was good to get the first stormy session under the belt.
Thanks to Scottie and Benny for grabbing our kites at the end.

Pray to the wind god that we get our 24knts in the arvo.
So the little guys and gals can go out.
Hopefully its a seabreeze that comes through to make it enjoyable for all.

Sorry guys but it's a nay from me, there is no such thing as a seabreeze at this time of the year, it's frontal or nothing............Happy to be proven wrong though.

Nay. I was way out the back out at Scarbs at 9am when this happened:

Self rescue was a doozy. I ended up making better progress paddling. Was getting there, but ended up getting a lift from a surf rescue guy on a jet ski.

I don't reckon the wind will come back onshore today.

Got up early and drove to Avalon, got there around 8:30. No wind but a nice swell rolling through and not many out. Seems that most surfers were caught off guard. Luckily I came prepared.

Paddled out on a brand spanking new board and......

....snapped it!!!

Paddled in and drove home

Good effort airhead.....sorry to read about the board, bummer.

Painted for another 5 hours today and can't be stuffed to kite...now would be a good time me thinks, but going to chill with cocoa and the footie.

Already getting very sick of this crap weather.....bring back summer I say....or move to Cairns.

Went to Cott at first light thinking the drive south wouldn't be worth it.
Watched for a while
Chatted with the windsurfers
Went home
If the wind had been good, the rain stayed away it would have been all time.

Well there was at least seven of us down Safety Bay having a hell of a time.
The wind was really good. Only started to died out at about 5:00 .

It ended up being great at Woodies too, at least a dozen or so of us out. Had the best session, although not the warmest, must get myself a steamer.

Finally the planets (of work, wind and willingness!) came into alignment for me and I got a fun session downwinding Pinners to Mullers yesterday arvo, with my mates GetFunky, Tightlines, and DeWet

Realised how unfit and rusty I am , almost 2 months since I've been out!

Havent been that cold for a while, roll on summer!
