board leashes does anyone wear them?

Yes they wear a leach, BUT are they using a leash for the kite, my bet it NO ;), so when they do get hammer the bail on the kite they keep the board to paddle in on.

How hard is it just to body drag upwind for a minute or 2. There not worth the pain!

yeh i got rid of the leash its about 70% say dont 30% say do andi just had my second heamatoma on my leg now .. ouch so its gone and i gotta admit i feel more confident boosting big jumps with out fear of the projectile behind me when i funk it up :) thanks for advice kids

I used to use one of those Reel Leash jiggers, until I wrecked one day and the board *still* managed to come back at me, just missed my head, went *through* my lines above the bar and landed about 5 feet in front of me. I knew nothing about it, until I went WTF when I was trying to work out why the leash was going up over my bar and out in front of me. A mate nearby yelled out and told me how close the board came to my head (no helmet or vest), so I took it off immediately and never used it again.

anyone who wears a leash just hasnt been hit on the head hard enough yet.

kiting with a guy atm who had his jugular sliced by his boards fin as it targetted his throat on the rebound.
lucky guy to be alive.

he doesnt use a leash any more.
