How are the kiting conditions in Koi Samui? Spent a month in July/August 93 on the little island next door. Don't remember a breath of wind even though i was high as a kite most of the time.
Got back home yesterday and the house came through the rain ok

. Lesson one; always give your house key to somebody when you go away.
So I was in Thailand, Koh Samui and I hear I dodged a bullet so I start to relax again then at 3 in the morning I get a text and it's my neighbour saying the power is off and could be days or weeks before it comes back on... so I haven't given my key to anybody and I have 3 fridge freezers full of meat, chicken and fish

. Cut a long story short I had to get a locksmith to break-in and have a mate check the house out and luckily the power came on soon after. I'm not winging as I got off very lightly, the guys up north are in a bad way.
Triggerhappy, I think I could see that island from my room!! We were there 7 days and 2 were kiteable. Windfinder always seamed to be about one third higher than the actual so I'm happy I didn't take my kite as it would have been a bit of a waste of space. The beach also had a kite rental shop on it so it would have been easier to hire from them for a few times. Full kit: 1 hr 1400THB (55AUD), half day 2500THB (98AUD) and full day 4000THB (155AUD). We didn't go to Thailand for kiting so any time on the water would have been a bonus...
