That's a real downer, but we had a top day served up for us yesterday ah. I can lend u gear if you're stuck.
best of luck getting it back

thanks 'mate " I find your final words comforting in particular .As I said i am a goose particularly considering this is not the first time and particularly as I had thought 2 days previously that I really should clear out the crap in my garage so that i could get my car in or at least take my gear out .I seek no sympathy however if people could keep their eyes peeled they might see something and even lead to an arrest which is the reason I posted here .LAso it helps serves a reminder to us all not to be complacent .
I saw 2 poor buggers severly disabled getting pushed along in wheel chairs today .Somehow my bad day didn't seem so bad anymore

Lach, I remember looking at your Grand Vitara in the carpark yesterday as you went out and thinking how good it was that you got it back last time it was ripped off.

F#@king thieving bastards!!!!![}:)] Piss me right off.

Is that the board you took out yesterday? I'll know that if I see it.

Let's find these pr!cks

Check out your car insurance company. You can get cover with the NRMA up to about $10000 for items stolen from your vehicle. I've claimed a couple of kites and board that were stolen last year. Excess is only $100.

Thanks for that. New in town so looking for some spots other than Nobbies. Kited there last year when I was here for a while. Nice place to kite, maybe a little crowded and it seemed like perhaps not everyone was in control. Was good to meet some of the Newy kiters. Hopfully see you on the water soon. Noticed that nobody kites Nobbies in a southerly. I assume its no good.

Nobbies works well in a southerly too but is a bit onshore at the northern end .Lots off push onto the reef with the swell too . Dicko is epic in a southerly when its strong and lots of room .Even with yesterdays congestion I was able to manouver aaround the pack and get a pretty clear run.

3 feet waves

You've got to be kidding! It was heaps bigger than 3'
And I don't know what's going on but suddenly everyone's kiting my break?
Nobby's is certainly kiteable in a southerly. If it's out of control at Merewether then Nobbies is worth a try. If it's way East Nobbies can still be great, right up at Northn end, or try Stockton or Blacksmiths. Think we're rather off topic here.
BTW You missed a top arvo today Lach. & I'm impressed by your attitude. The offer stands. 13m Octane, 10m Rally & any number of boards.
Ric, that's funny, and yeah, we do feel for you. You've kept smilin throughout a tough time.
I think I'm still a bit euphoric, but wow, I do luv this kiting

thanks again Col .I'm gonna set up my cardboard with a tri fin at one end (it wasn't in the car I did this on an UG a few years ago ) and dust off some surfboards board wise . Don't you use that rally most of the time?
this is one of the things that gives me solace .

Hey everyone some great news .Firstly i would like to thanks everyone for their support and particularly Cols kind offer and call and also Chris from Griffins kind offer to replace the kites at an awesome price and Craig's kind offer too (does it come with a tiger snake) .I really appreciate it and am so glad to be involved in a sport with such a great group of people sharing the stoke .
I called the NRMA my insurer to make the claim on the window that was smashed. The girl told me that there was $500 coverage for items damaged in the car in an accident but not for stolen items but that the window replacement was covered .then she asked if the car was parked at home which is was and she said" well thats good because you can claim it on your home contents insurance (with a small excess fee ) because it was within the perimeter of your home ".,yes yes yes .i love the girl at the other end of the phone and would kiss her if i could .i thought that this was a gonner .i am sooooo stoked ,relieved and grateful.

So lets till keep an eye out for those kites so that the mongrels can be nabbbed and don't be a goose like me and leave stuff in the car and also don't put your car keys in a hidey spot at the beach because there is a good chance that there is some theiving mongrel watching who will get them and make off with your car

I was calling it Indo style Col, when I called it 6 foot over there everyone called me unkind things.

Love your stoked attitude, enthuses me even more.

I'm so happy for your happy ending Lach, it's a feel good story. You must have been so relieved to understand what was going on. Not enough happy endings in real life. Love it.

All right I give in. I didn't want to show my ignorance, but hey, who cares what people think. It's rhyming slang for something that I just can't think of. Or it could be a racing car driver, and failing that I'm guessing he was a US polly.

Or could it be Bob, his cranky old neighbour, who just happens to have gone up north for a few weeks to learn to kitesurf on his new kites & mutant board.
