Hi
I have been learning for a little while and can just about get on the board, I am looking forward to the new season, however I cant afford to pay $$$$ each time I lose my bottle and book another lesson. I have had some lessons and am at the 'time on the water stage' I live really close to Pinnaroo Point, but I have heard that Melville Beach is much more suited to someone at my level, aka beginner.... anyone else in the same boat? Is Melville Beach the only place reccomended for beginners?

Hey Dublindave,

We teach at Pinnaroo point and can help you out if you want to advance a bit more quickly. We are running a new radio teaching system this year and will be the only school in WA to use this technology. Last year we also used radios to varying degrees of success, our new "Headzone" system is state of the art, is really slick and will allow you to hear instruction on the water through built in stereo speakers as you are riding which makes learning fast, especially at your stage.

Maybe see ya on the beach!

Good winds,

Two of my mates should be learning there this season, so you will have some company on the walks back up the beach
Thanks

My idea would be to learn at your "local," cause when you are learning you want to be out close to home rather than driving.

Both PP and Melv. are good for learning. You will learn the discipline of body dragging faster in the ocean.....the fishes make you hurry.

peli is **** for learning, you lose about 100m downwind yet have like 400m to walk to get back to the start, the best case scenario (worked out on google) would see you walk 300m per run and that run would last 1 min 20 or so. you need flat water to learn quickly other wise you end up just loosing the board and having o try get it back. also now with the banned area there isnt anywhere to learn as you will be getting in the way of the kiters who follow a make shift order that stops congestion. this order is always messed up by learners who drop a kite with in 100m of the launch point. it would be diff if the ban zone wasnt there anymore-anyone wanna help Me with moving the cones about 10m closer to shore

Dublindave

I too am learning (absolute beginner) and live close to Pinnaroo Point, so maybe we should get in touch and help each other out or at least have a laugh at each others expense.

Hi Trish,

There are a few mums about, my Tina is one of them and is always looking for someone to share the bubby minding whilst nicking out for a quick kite.

Find us at the beach.... working from the big trailer.

Good winds,

Hi Trish,

Tina has been using my old 2005 Reactor 9m and a 2006 Switch 135. We are just getting her onto the new 2007 Flow which she is really enjoying too. I think she wants to start using my surfboards for days when there is a bit of swell. She mainly freerides on twinnies but is curious about going all surf gear.

Come and say Hi to us when you are down the beach.

She wears a Ladies Flying Objects Sapphire harness.

Good winds,
