You are looking at the RPM Fuel or the Best GP for those brands... Also, have heard great things about the Naish Torch too... a few of my kite buddies fly them and they swear by them.

He is after a bridled c kite tho, fuel, gp and torch are all hard core c kites, although the fuel now comes with a bridle. I ride razors and they boost to the moon and probably the best for freestyle. But they are hardcore!

The vegas doesn't have a bridle and the TS and RPM aren't C kites. so that limits your choices down to a Chaos.
I would personally forget about the C kite idea and go for something like the Cab FX, Slingshot RPM or stay with the North Dice.

The C4 is a bridled C kite and it's good

+1 for the C4, I moved from having a best TS and a crazyfly sculp to the C4 and you couldnt wipe the smile from my face, you have to ride them different and boosting is different but in all honesty way funner, haven't tried too many other bridled C kites for comparison, but once i rode a c4 i knew id found my next kite.

I'm put off by norths ** bars as iv expienced with the 2014 trust bar(where do i start....bad quality lines, depower rope when depowered flaps around in the wind and wraps around my lines and bar!, the bar ends i can never get off to change the knots) so that kinda rules out the vegas, which is why I'm thinking the rpm, i had an octane and the quality of their lines are amazing, but the QR system isn't the best.

and i don't like the plastic depower rope on the chaos. lol

what are peoples opinions?

sorry to tell you but no 12 mtr goes huge, it may feel it due to float, after a good few years on the ozone edges ive been riding the flexifoil hadlows, awesome up to 10mtrs but a load of crap at 12, which has put me back on the edges when winds decide, imho I don't think the is an amazing kite in your reqd size, 7 to 9 mtrs is another topic

C-kites are better for everyone . Except maybe hooked-in wave-riders and racing aficionados.

Only way most old kites would even launch, unless you were 50m school boy champion.

If you only want a little bit more unhooked capability then RPM will be good. Similar to Dice but better unhooked. You can still send it nicely, slightly less height but longer hangtime than a C kite. As glendog said great kite for allround conditions, good in gusts and good wind range which C kites will suck at. If you serious about freestyle then surely C will be better, mainly because of the slack and directness. But for most of us advancing into freestyle takes longer than the lifetime of a kite hence I am happy I moved even backwards from Vegas to RPM for the time being. It does it all, I even go on a surfboard on it, but clearly it is not the great drifter either. A compromise if you don't have the money to have 10 dedicated kites sitting around for each discipline.
One comment regarding the Vegas. I love the way it flies but if you are already annoyed by the bar and its quality, keep in mind that when trying tricks you may have a few 5th line wraps when the kite rolls over which is even more annoying. Does not happen to everyone but I am seeing this more on the Vegas than with other 5 lines kites.

Its jumps so big and works for unhooking.Has far more range then the VEGAS and has bridles.
Yes, its not a full C kite, but it would be the next best thing to your requirements in the north line up.

Buy a Vegas kite only and buy a bar and lines set up from another manufacturer?

I had the same problem with my 2013 north bar. It fell apart in under 12 months. Grip fell off the bar, Depower rope had red cord hanging out of it, Lacky bands at the ends snapped off. Piece of junk.

what year Dice are you on?

Apparently there is quite a big difference between the 2015 and 2014.
Might be a good move for you to stick with what you already know and love.
You could even save some dollars by upgrading kites and keeping the bar going.

Otherwise no one knows your riding style, so really you have to demo!

sorry I didn't realise I had to to book in a jumping session on the off chance you were looking, ive seen plenty of people kite and wouldn't comment on how they perform, as long as they are having fun then all good by me, however if you go bigger on your 16 than on your 7 in given winds then you need to look at that technique you talk of, posted this before on the 1st edition reo in 37knts a piss weak jumping kite, with a bit more technique or a 7 edge I might of gone huge, make sure your available when the nwesters kick in, ill pay your fuel to bring you up with your vast knowledge and give me a lesson
