just a thought here guys but if i put another strap between both my straps (multi directional one) do you think it would be easier for me to spin a back mobe? its just that ive been watching the pkra guys (mainly hadlow) and they seem to have a fairly narrow stance, does this help them with multiple rotations? this might just be the edge people have been looking for! maybe it will even add a new sort of style emphasis to things. im pretty keen to see if anyone has tried this and what they thought.
i have t-nutted a strap in the middle all ready for next time there some freaking wind!!! i will let you know how it goes.

p.s. im still not that experienced with the unhooked stuff so maybe someone else could give it a try and tell me also what they think.

I guess i coundn't really say as to if this would help as i am not at the unhooked stage, but i would think that narrowing one's stance would deffiantly let you spin quicker and possibly help with landings to?
some expert advice out there?
my two cents anyhow.
Dave.

if youve got assymetrical straps, the extra swing weight on the nose will slow you down initially as you start the spin... it will also put a heap of stress on your front foot i think...

you dont spin that fast on mobes, fast spinning moves are s-bends to blind, double s-bends etc....

also the wider your stance, the easier it is to hold power, and the easier it is to land.

if you really want a faster spin, grab a little board and put your straps on the narrowest settings,

Hi rhys i have heard that a smaller board may help, this is why i have been wanting to try my idea out, it effectivley narrows your stance letting you rotate quicker. Well thats what i think anyway because if you try and jump and spin 360 with your feet together you can spin alot faster than if they are apart.
I think that this idea might also look pretty cool and may also help with waveriding (sort of turning you board into a mutant)
I am really keen to test it so when i get wind i will let you know.
p.s. If anyone else has tried it or has any input into new ideas or designs let us know.

yep waveriding will be fun with it, you'll really be able to send up some spray off the lip if your powered.

let us know how it goes,

also another thing i just thought of, you may need to ride a little more powered up, or ride with a lot more front foot pressure as all your weight will be over the tail and not centred like normal, this will kind of choke the board and slow you down if your not moderatly powered. (we sometimes take our front foot out and hook in under the grab hande if the wind comes up 2 much and we need to slow down while getting in, it works really well)

Narrowing your stance might make you spin quicker, but it will make landing harder as you'll be less balanced.

Park and pipe loving snow boarders always have very wide stances for that reason, more spread out, lower centre of gavity etc.

Try running and jumping and landing with your feel close together, then try it with your feet spread out. I'm sure you can imagine the difference wout even trying it.

Hate to sound negative, and as much as i encourage experimentation, a third strap will not help you with style or make the move. It seems a pretty goofy option. But hey maybe im wrong, give it a shot.. could open up some mad new extreme side to the rotations...
