just turns you off when you compare to real surfing.

Man, I saw a few dudes at Scarbs yesterday on strapped surfboards in 30 knots and they were seriously nailing the onshore slop (up to 3 foot). The style has come a long way, and the standard is rising rapidly. I find it very inspiring.

I will add that upwind wave riding doesn't do much for me.

lots of my surfer mates are slowly coming around, its a long wait in between drinks for surfers, the last thing we want is for the masses to get into it.....imagine the carnage!

I say wear ya jocks over your wettie an try an look kooked out as possible so it dont look to cool an tell em how hard it is an scare them off with some injury stories an if they are still interested.....well maybe,just maybe let them in on the secret.
