Just moved to sydney and looking for people to kite with at Dolls Point. Am very much still learning but have done plenty of lessons and now have my own kit but would love to have someone to go with - for a bit of extra confidence and maybe a few tips!

Have got the next 2 and half weeks off work so will be going as much as possible!

If you're learning and want to practice or (even better) if you know what your doing so could keep an eye out for me, let me know : )

Hi Hindy - welcome to our forums!

Despite popular perception the Dolls crew are generally pretty friendly (I did say generally!) There are riders of all skill levels there so you should find someone to hook up with.

If the worst comes to the worst when the wind is blowing just drop in, look for the kite bums and introduce yourself

I never kite at dolls, only brighton... Maybe I should check out dolls once and a while. Less choppy there or something?

can be very smooth at the top or bottom of the tide and when the tide is going opposite to the wind you get an extra boost of power from the water current

^^^ lol

Yeah to be honest Dolls is a bit hit and miss, and it all depends on what the tide is doing (slack water, running out or running in)

On a good day there is nice flat water to be shared by all. On a bad day it's like the Olympic mogul skiing course.

Also when the wind is more north than north easterly conditions on the beach (lanching and landing) can be a bit flukey - not enough to be scary but still worth keeping in mind.
