I have drag launched in winds gusting 10-50 knots. It is somewhat ring puckering. Put the kite at the edge of the water. Walk into the water, launch in the water hand on the safety. If **** happens at least the water slows you down for a bit.

10-50 knots. sounds like good conditions.

Tai road Se. Massive wind shadow on the beach down wind of the cliff giving those crazy launch conditions. It was a better but still silly 35-50 knots past the wind shadow.

It was a worthy session. But one I shouldn't have done. Just too dangerous solo in those conditions.
