Hey Eppo, not sure what help im going to be but ive got a 2012 8m Rebel and a 2012 11m Evo atm. I was riding Vegas' last season (and absolutely love them) i just really struggled with the low end of the Vegas being a bigger rider than most and hence went back to the Rebel. I was curious on the Evo's last season (as was my brother) so we bit the bullet and bought one. We couldnt get a demo down here at the time so just thought what the hec lets just try them. We both figured at least this way we would have tried the 3 main kites in the North range over a couple of season to determine what best suits our riding.

Ive run the Evo on the 5 line set up and found it to be a really good kite, by brother loves it and as has already been said it pretty much falls in the middle of the Vegas and the Rebel. You really notice the difference going from the Evo to the Rebel when you unhook, its really nice to unhook and doesnt rip ur arms out of the sockets like the Rebel), but it isnt as good as the Vegas as u expect.

I do love my 8m Rebel on those high wind days to boost big or smash some waves(but who doesnt love a small darty kite) but i did find the 11m Evo was just a bit big and slow (as u expect for a biger kite). The difference in speed really was noticable and found the 12m 2011 Vegas to be much quicker.

As i said the bottom end of the 2011 Vegas wasnt great for me and moving to the Evo really noticed this was a ballsy kite with some nice bottom end grunt. Found the top end to be pretty good 2. I found its jumping ability was great, big and floaty, i think the Rebel is bigger but it was still a nice big boosting feel.

Upgrading next season i was torn with which way to go and what i was going to ride, but while i do like the Evo and it was a great all round kite i just loved the 2011 Vegas (best kite ive ever ridden i think) and find the Rebels a really fun kite 2. I was really trying to avoid a 3 kite quiver but gave into temptation and have ordered a 8m Rebel (for those high wind days), a 10m Vegas (for the summer seabreeze unhooking sessions) and a 12m Rebel (for those really light days) for 2013.

Just wondering, Rebel Vegas and Evo are being mentioned for comparison, why does the Fuse not get reviewed?

A couple of weeks ago I was flying my Naish 12m Park in 10-14 knots and another kiter offered his North 10m Fuse for me to try.
I said i was barely getting up on my 12m Park, I doubted i would get up with his 10m Fuse.
To my surprise the Fuse had more pull than my Park. Now in the process of selling my Park to buy North Fuse.

anyone know what the story is with Evo's not being released until end of this year/early next?

Going to be tough to wait until then for my new kites especially bc not even sure will like it..
