hi eppo,
thanks a lot for that review. I am searching the web for some information about the C4 and will hopefully test it soon.
At the moment I still fly my 2010 Vegas, sizes 7, 9 and 12 which works pretty well for me (75kg) in the North of Germany (excuse my bad English)
I would very much appreciate your opinion on the lowend of the 12m Vegas compared to the 12m C4.
What would be a goof quiver for me @75kg. 7/9/12 or 7/9/13 or 7/10/13 ?
cheers David
Hi mate, I haven't ridden vegas's so can't comment directly on bottom end compared to C4s but I'd say they'd be similar, though the C4s do seem to have a fraction more projected area so may have a slight edge. 12/9/7 would be an excellent quiver for your weight in North Sea conditions (I windsurfed there a bit in the 90s).
As far as which kite will suit you, demo is the way to go as clearly each kite has its fans. Darren from AKS (has been very quiet on here lately) sells and rides Ozone and North so he'd be the best person to offer a direct comparison.
I choose Ozone because the whole package - performance, construction, customer service, company ethos - is in line with my preferences on the water as a kiter and off the water as a team rider who wants to be able to recommend a product because I know it is excellent, not just because I get a deal.
Demo, and as Eppo said, be prepared for a paradigm shift!
