Sound like an awesome kite apart from that,

Definitely needs some improvement to depower rope - red knob is too hard to grip if it is right up near the cleat.
Kite is very well made and rides beautifully. Very smooth through the power and definitely lives up to hype about depower - My main buzz from kiting is major boosting - this kite has not let me down. Off the waves it really kicks ass.
I also own a 12m Switchblade and a 16m Crossbow - these are great kites and now with the Vegas I feel totally equipped for all conditions.
The bloke who had the difficulty releasing the Iron Heart was on a 12metre and was being dragged along the sand - it seems the sand blocked everything and it just would not release . Keen to hear if others have had Bill's experience and successfuly released.

ps. Thanks to the " CAPTAIN " -- mate that kite folding method you showed me for the VEGAS works a dream - kite slips into its bag very neatly.

The 14 Vegas worked a dream. Very happy with boosting capability and once you have dialled in technique, hang time is quite amazing - definitely up there with the Cabrinah bows.
The bar is very comfortable and there no need to move cleat from factory set position if you are a big bloke.
Kite cuts up wind no probs - right there with my bows. Feel very safe on this kite - getting the old adrenallin rush back.
Very very happy
The " C " is back.

The method the Captain showed me is pretty straight forward and probably used by most kiters who have battens in the wing tips of their kites.
Fold the kite in half and line the wing tip battens up together. Then simply roll the kite up keeping the batten ends in line with the leading edge. Once you have completely rolled it up feel for the batten end which will be about half way down the rolled kite. Fold the end towards the leading edge and there you have it. Fits straight into the bag every time.

If your going to get one give Jason a call on 0419 686 188 see what he can do for you really nice guy and pricing on kites is very reasonable.
Next time we go kiting I want to see you on a new 06 Vegas carving up the surf.
