Hi all,
Some awesome responses to registrations thus far, people are coming from all over the state. Accommodation is starting to get tight; better dust off the swag in case...
There are some skeg breaking sandbars down there, especially inside the old airstrip (long spit). We'll be setting the comp zone in an area with appropriate water depth.
Email me at
[email protected] if you intend on coming down; the more the better. We'd like to get numbers for catering, tshirts etc before next Thursday; we can fix up rego forms and fees on the day as long as we know to expect you.
Regarding the water itself, we have spoken with the Health Department, Department of Environment & Heritage and the EPA and all of them have confirmed that the water is fine for kitesurfing/swimming/recreational use etc. Personally having spent many years down there, yes it‘s low but the water has always been murky….
Look forward to seeing you all down there!
