Well the latest report is that the wind is already on the way up and looking sweet. So get on down to Milang and get involved. Already have a road safety update, there are speed cameras heading out of Mt Barker and coming in and heading out of Strathalbyn, so make sure you keep an eye on the speed limits.
Well hope to see everyone there to support this great local event.

Cheers Croc

What an awesome day we had today. With the state top riders going hard in the 15 to 20 knot conditions. With plenty of cameras and a news reporter at Milang, the riders didn't disappoint.
For everyone who is heading down Sunday, The crew is hitting the Milang Regatta club for a well earned breakfast ( i'm sure there could be a few crew looking a little worse for wear.), all is welcome. Then hopefully getting back into the action at around 12 midday. Blake and the Whyalla crew have brought down their wake winch, if the wind is a little light early on.

Thanks for all the crew that came down today and supported this great event and hopefully see you all there Sunday.

Cheers Croc

I think the term was 'SOLID' weekend and contest. Had an absolute ball on both days. Cheers to all who contributed specialy Evan, Wayne and Ross for carting down the kickers and sliders at super short notice. Nice job boys.

Pitty all the riders didn't stick around for sunday as you missed out on some wake winch carnage. On ya blake for bringing it over.

Props all

Mick, they are great pics! did you take them from a aircraft? Did the wind come up late on Sunday, and did anybody get out on the lake when it came in? I have'nt been able to get down there since the demo weekend, so I was wondering how is the water quality and depth? So many questions, but I hate missing events like this!

Sorry Doolz, but if I make it to Robe I am bringing the gargleblasters with me!! But might have to re-name them "gargle-geoffs" after Geoff blasted his first one everywhere.....

Well done to the SAKSA crew who organised an awesome event! Was great to meet everyone and I look forward to riding with you all again!

Now all I have to do is learn a trick or two to bring to Robe

Awesome weekend- thanks to the crew who stuck around to pack up the comp site and help ferry everything home, much appreciated.

Thanks to the regatta club for the hospitality, thanks to the sponsors for the prizes, thanks to the guys who were pulling out all the bogged cars and mainly thanks to all the competitors and spectators for getting behind the event.

The results will be up on the saksa website in the forums very soon.....for those who weren't there for pressos your trophies and prizes are available to be picked up from me. Give me a call.

Thanks again to all the crew.

Hi coastflyer

A's to your Q's - Photos taken on Sunday from camera attached to single-line kite.
check out http://www.akfa.net.au/information/kap.htm for more.

Sunday we only got about 15 knots - there were a handful of mad kiters and madder wake-winchers.

The water is waste-deep, if you include the knee-deep mud layer - wipeout=black slush.

Hi all,

Results are up on www.saksa.com.au and a better update will come out shortly in the next newsletter.

Awesome weekend. Fantastic crew. I've now lost my voice which could be attributed to burning my throat with gargle blasters or singing krapeoke at the pub... Likely both.
Great way to spend a weekend!

There was karaoke at the pub ?????????????????????????

Actually- everybody remembers the rules don't they ? What happens on tour stays on tour...... so no Sat night stories are to be repeated.

Just enough to say it was great fun.

Does anyone have any pics of the bogged cars over the weekend? Soph wants to laugh to her friends about my pittyful driving skills.... Mine was the black captiva. Not the first or the last (hey Doolz....)....

If you want to see a few of the pics from the weekend, there are a few in here:

Hey guys, I had so many images it was quicker to upload them to a lightbox, also you can see them all at once. Probably not much different to what you have already seen. Had a great weekend.

Also if you want to see any of them larger just let me know and I will upload to here.

Cheers, Susie

BIG mention of Chops' effort with the Saturday comp commentary.

He stepped up to the mike with a seemingly never-ending dialogue of competittor's moves fused with a bent sense of humour which was as smooth and black as Milang mud.
It was appreciated by all.........for around 3-4 hours during most of the comp.

Trav ably seconded Chops effort by filling in the gaps while Chops busted his own moves.

I have seen and heard many so called "professional media commentators" who pale in comparism to your saturday session...........it capped off an already successful & well organised comp.

Fossil.

Liquid Force pin up boy Trav Murphy- stylin bro..... No wonder this sport has no cred- you don't/can't party and then pull moves like this....you should take up rollerblading.....What's the hardest thing about riding Liquid Force ? ...Bahhahahahah

PS- nice work on the boardies Susie....regulation kiter style

Hi guys...

Got some photos from Saturday earlier on... I was the guy standing next to Susie with the other white lens. If you have a look at my profile gallery on here, I have put a few small images in it... 4 of which were taken as I flew over late Sat. avo around 7pm... unfortunately not as many kiters there at the time but I managed to get a couple of shots from above (conditions for flying low were not the best, so I didn't hang around long).. maybe next time I will do better!

Cheers,
Dave
