What's the average breeze for that time of year. On the fence to buy a new kite for it or wait until then to demo something

5's are always good in the midwest

A visitor to dongara was on a slingshot sat 4 mtr last week

Hey Cauncy, I'm looking for Accomm at the moment and want to be near the start point of all the action. Where are the events going to be kicking off? Is there a central hub?

Hi Everyone, we are now ready to register kiters for the event. Thankyou for all the pre-registrations, we have had 80 so far which is quite exciting and also challenging.

Everyone who has pre-registered will shortly receive an email requesting payment and the signing of an event waiver.
If you haven't pre-registered, you can still register using the same link (below) and you will receive an email as above.

We have done our best to keep the costs to a minimum, but there are some essential costs which we do need to cover such as water safety, insurance, transport and other incidental costs, so the costs are as follows:

Event Registration including compulsory personal Event Insurance $85

Event Registration if you are a confirmed paid up KA member $25

The $60 insurance we pass straight to Kiteboarding Australia. We will need to confirm with KA that your membership is paid up to 26th November in order to not pay the $60 fee. (KA and WAKSA are the same membership by the way)

Options:

T Shirt with MWWF branding S/M/L/XL $25

Dinner at Burnt Barrel after Downwinder on Saturday 25/11 $50

So minimum cost is $25 if you are a KA paid up member. Max is $160 if you are NOT a KA member and would like a T-Shirt and dinner.

The choice is yours!!!

Cheers

form.jotform.co/72544383815865 is the link for those who still need to register.

Hi guys, bit of an update, the event starts 2 weeks this coming Friday.

So far we have had about 100 pre-registrations, but only 15 have paid the registration fee and signed waivers. Thanks very much to those who have!

If you are thinking of coming then would really appreciate paid registration across this week. Our challenge is that we have quite a bit of fixed costs in relation to water safety for the big air, waves and down winder regardless of the number of participants. If we don't get many more registrations we may have to have some changes in format to cut costs. There is also a 2 week lead time for things like T-shirts, dinners etc.

Appreciate some people will be waiting to see how the forecast looks, and we have not set a cut-off date as yet. But 2 weeks before, i.e. next weekend, we are going to have to make some tough decisions.

So please, if you are coming please do register this week.

The process is to pre-register at:

form.jotform.co/72544383815865

Then we will send you an email with the waiver to be signed, cost details, depending on whether you are a KA member or not. The email can take a couple of days as we have to confirm KA membership, plus fitting it all into the boring side of life!

Thanks everyone

Dave

Looking at correspondence I've had with people wanting to come up or down for the Midwest windfest, it looks like we've some solid numbers, feel free to come and demo all the latest gear, watch tutorials , comps , kite your arses off and kick back with a coldy watching the sunset, everyone and anyone is welcome, however if you want to participate in comps/ big air/ downwinders we have to ensure your water safety and insurance, for this you need to rego on the jotform link which daves posted above
cheers and looking forward to seeing you here

After talking up the wind to the eastern staters for so long, I expect that Cauncy is breathing a sigh of relief with this wind forecast. Looks epic.
