Hi Bazl, thanks for the photos, results so far, looking forward to seeing the full results and the rest of the photos when time permits. Also any commentary from those there on the races so those of us like me who were sunning themselves on Rockingham's beautiful beaches instead of slogging it out at the lake can appreciate all the fun and games.

Thanks Andy for your kind words - congratulations need to come your way - in a just a few months you have got a new land sailing club going which managed to field 6 pilots at the State Titles and by all accounts they performed admirably - well done

Although I was not present - thanks also need to go to the Sandgropers scorers on the day - this is often a thankless job - albeit a important one that without none of us could race.

Vic - impressive.....

cheers Susan

people who self promote them selves like you are usually not that good

Since im In a generous mood,so I will let you only eat half your words After 7 wins I slipped and Crazy Trav slipped past in the last 100m by executing a better aerobraking gybe than me. that boy's getting better by the minute. My next defeat 2 races later was just bad luck, had a puncture in the first lap and couldnt hold on to the lead in the last 50m. it still took CT 2 laps to get me tho
I didnt realize I looked sooo good in the Lycra sailing suit
The weekend was a great effort, It was great to sail on that crazy gravel/patchy surface, with its sandbars, tough reeds, and landyachters with little ballast kegs stapped on the front.
Nice effrt from Bastijn Demusyere, 4th in his first Regatta.
It was great to see all the Blokarters getting valuable racing /sailing experience.
they all started catching up towards the end.
For those building Lefroy Minis, The yacht we built for the seabreeze site came in second

The Perth Blokart club would like to extend a big thankyou to the Sandgropers club for a magic weekend, the Sandgropers realy made us feel welcomed.
Even though our guys are very new to landsailing they all performed exceptionally well and are very keen to sail with the Sandgropers club very soon.
To the organizers Barry, Rabbit, Murray,Graeme and the Lady time keepers well done,we will be back for more soon.
I have heaps of great pics to share but the site is experiencing difficulties in uploading them at the moment(sorry Peter I will keep trying)

Thanks for the disc of photos Bazl. they make you realize just how rough and dusty the lake is getting.
Does anybody who was at the event have , by the slightest chance , any photos of my little mini or Bastjins mini? anything would be greatly appreciated as it is the bestway to see how the rig and yacht is working.
2 distant shots of the 2 yachts are the only ones that made it to the disc[}:)]. anything would be greatly appreciated
maybe I should stop trying to run over photographers when I see them

Thanks Hillsy, the Perth blokart club has gone from five to six carts two weeks ago to fourteen blokarts in one weekend,I sold a new cart only this morning to a new member Graeme, the club is growing at a frantic pace so we have to move quickly to have everything in place.
I have organized our club to be incorporated in a couple of weeks time to co inside with the Australian Blokart Association.
Mind you when you have dedicated members (who up untill three months ago had never sailed a blokart before) push the club as hard as I have when I first started Perth blokarts, things go realy well

Farout Andy, that's great news!! Well done.

Now can you contact your SA counterpart and give him a few pointers on how to get things underway. Theres absolutely no reason blokarting can't be that popular over here. (Well ok there is one, but I'm more than willing to help get around that issue! )

Great photos Andy, Glad to hear the club is taking off so well, having such a high profile sailing venue (on the edge of the freeway) has got to be a bonus for you.

When are you guys (and girls?) going to make a road trip and come up to Lake Lefroy next?

Thats a scary photo of Crazy Trav[}:)] now you see why he is called Crazy Trav

Are the Perth blokart club coming to Yeppoon in March??

Reason I ask is that you guys have the same colour shirts as Brisbane Blokart Club!!! Great minds think alike !! We have orange for when blokarting and white shirts for social / display days so I think we will have to talk and colour co-ordinate !!

Up here in the bush we have to wear that horrible orange clothing all day at work so when its time to relax and enjoy the day we tend to avoid the team uniform thing, but you never know , Crazy Trav may yet set a trend
NOT
