Yo Chook
We are still here!
Bummer about the thread being old news.....didn't know there was a time limit.
Have all been tied up with "real" school work.....I'm not a tech teacher..wish I was.
This has been Tassie's wettest winter in yonks.....way too muddy for sailing. With Spring just looming we have put on a build spurt and have got the "Mad Project" almost done. Your axle is the bees!
Tara and I gave it a run down our driveway...no masts or sails......2 up, each with an Irish terrier in our lap.....Dogs loved it, so did Tara. Wish I had filmed it.
Masts and sails soon.
We have been given access to a really top spot next door to the school. No trees or buildings so we should have some good clean air. Have to watch out for sheep poo though.
Wonder if there is some sort of "administrator" out there in cyberland who can resurrect the "Mad- Hatten Project" thread......troops were very keen to top 10,000 hits! With a proper test run just around the corner we think we could get some more interest happening.
Cheers
Nick

Beauty Nick!!!!
I just put the rum on ice and will settle in for a gawk tonight.
Ta for the heads up.

Great to see the lads efforts back on the forum.

Plenty of rain here along the coast but it needs to go more than the 15kms inland and wet up what it's been missing.
The winds have been huge (they always are when the canola is flowering and blows the blossom away) and a lot of moisture has been lost to evaporation.
Inland crops are surviving but desperately need a good drink.

Give me a yell if you need anything else fabbed up, to keep your team moving.

Hey enjoyed that.

Nice place to fly. He seemed a bit of a character.

Gee and my wife complains about the amount of kites I have.
I'm nowhere near his league.

Hi
It was quite fun.......though only 3 mins! Took weeks to put the whole thing together.
The backdrop for the 3 stooges introducing the segment was my Albatross!....Most colourful of the lot, so was deemed most appropriate for the job.
Bet you liked the pet wedge tail on a string that was following Alan around.
Had fun at the bonfire....though we didn't need a fire. It was still 16 degrees when we toddled home! Gotta hell of a headache this morning....must have been bad beer!

I didn't realize the studio glider was yours.
Hope the head heals, I'd have a few more tonight just to activate the healing process.[}:)]

We have great slopes here in Esperance and would love to get into hang or paragliding. 500 kms west there is a paragliding school in Albany. I'm tempted and the wife is all for it, as she says my insurance all up to date. Wan'ts rid of me and all my toys.

A mate sent me this last week. Pretty cool!!!!

Alan seems to think the paragliders are not the way to go. Says they are unsafe!
With his wealth of experience I guess he knows a thing or two......but then again they are really popular in Europe.
My brothers and I "taught" ourselves to fly on the Albatross in the late 70's.
They both went into civil avation, flying heavies then came back to hang gliding a few years back. Because it was by then regulated by CA they had to undertake flying lessons. Chris got into some dirty air on landing and ended up inverted, on the ground wondering WTF had happened. Gave it up as a bad job....now keen to try again.
So am I ......Alan's got an electric powered glider that's the bees, has a half hour range on a charge.....will try to get endorsed for that I think. Looking at a bigger battery bank to extend the range.
How the heck am I going to get rid of all these mongrel power lines that cross my place......c4 perhaps
Cheers Nick
Head still hurts......second batch of beer was even worse!
