Looks like the price of trailer sailors just went down?
I have a 28' boat in the water and know about the constant costs of maintenance (spent yesterday cleaning the bottom and painting), slipping, risk of theft, having to remove everything valuable every time I leave it alone, repacking.....,,,,,
If I still lived in a house, for my first yacht I would be happy with a trailer sailor. The only negative I could see is they are probably the wrong class for twilight races?
Really depends on your resources - car, where you live, what you want to do.....,,,

yeah keeping boats on the street is a risk too. I had mine painted, vandelled, kids played on it, council changed rules, ticketed it etc...was last straw for me.
My trick is, keep it looking rough. use it constantly, hide valuables or dont have any. less to worry about and go sailing. Im lucky that nothings happened to me yet on the mooring.
id rather risk theft etc than have to man handle booms etc everytime i wanted to go for a sail.
