I've just purchased an RL28.
Im looking at hooking my Laptop (macbook) up to a USB GPS module and run some sort of Downloaded Chart Plotter program. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what program and USB GPS I will need.
I will only be doing trips to Rottenest Ils and up the coast of West Aus... (when i'm confident)
Not looking at spending too much.
Very Novice sailor here. First Yacht.
Thanks
Christian

Hot topic lately...

www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Sailing/General/Lets-talk-about-navigation/

For PC something like this should do
-www.dx.com/p/mini-usb-heater-cooler-fridge-silver-2036738.html

But for the sake of not starting another thread, respond in the existing thread as above.

Congratulations

Buy an old laptop that runs windoze. Download Seaclear2 [free]. Buy a GPS puck with a Sirf 4 chip. Bludge some digital charts. Check out my photos for inspiration.
