Would ENZED be the go Shaggy, They seem to be everywhere.

G'day Sam,
Yes, this may be the option yet. I'm going to talk to my shipwright first and see if there's anyone he knows experienced with marine. I like the idea of someone who can assist with repairs of any other systems/issues we may find when we open the keel box.

Hey shaggy, give Fleet Hydrol a phone call before you waste too much time with ENZED.

Thanks Cisco!
I checked it again yesterday, a slow leak but it definitely needs to come out before the Pittwater race in January.
Cheers,
SB

Oh my the last two weeks of rain has really highlighted the need to keep on top of leaks. I think I got most of them now but it's so depressing being on a boat on a rainy day with leaks everywhere.

Anyway i am working on a galley refit because the original one was on its way out. It's going to be a simple setup with lots of ventilation.

There will be a new water tank with a seat on top which will be at a better height for cooking.

The old water tank is to become the new home for a dual battery setup using the blue sea add-a-battery kit which I really like. And a new fusebox and switching panel.

So it's all happening in the port hull this season. I guess starboard is for next year.

i know it all looks like crap at the moment but that's the point I guess. In my head it will be clean and fresh and nice when it's all done.

You are going to remove the telly and dodads before you continue painting, aren't you?
I mean you aren't going to paint around them?

Some rather expensive sailing bling added to my mighty Icon today!

Nice. However you had a 4:1 advantage, and still have a 4:1 ratio. Were the original pulleys failing? Correction- you had 4:1, now 5:1. Not a huge difference though.

It all runs nice and smooth now so a huge difrence and I'm extremely happy with my new bling. I tried servicing the old gear but unfortantly it was well past its used by date.

I hard wired the 240v through the bulkhead so unfortantly I can't remove the TV but will be wrapping it in plastic when it comes time to paint the port side.
I think some twit has oiled the varnished veneirs so it's becoming a real challenge to sand and get the undercoat to stick so it's real slow progress.
As they say Rome wasn't built in a day!

I don't dribble paint ! Yes I wil be painting the cellling if that's what you want to call it. And I don't have that much time on my heads, but when the weathers crap I can't work on other peoples boats that pays , so I do my inside jobs.

Metho should lift the furniture oil, and plenty of clean rag, will save a lot of sand paper. Must admit I prefer the wood look

I didn't think to use metho I think wax and grease cleaner is a lititle weak. Been blowing 47 knot gusts most of the day so progress has Been non existent. Woko yes it's a 50/50 on the paint verses veneer but for me and others ,too much wood is too much! It's feeling much more homely now and I'm happy with the change!

Sort off but that's way funny free radical. Not my style of paint. I'm way surprised the paint systems I'm using have no smell what so ever. The technology is getting so good.

Went went down to boat to install new vhf radio, aerial, aerial base and cable. Simple job turned into bloody frustration.
Needed to enlarge hole for new cable through transom. Using new Ryobi cordless tightened bit normal way drilled hole slightly small and was reaming edges when the bit fell out into transom . Could see it but out of reach . Thirty minutes to retrieve with borrowed garden rake.
There was an extra red wire coming out of terminal at switchboard for old vhf which disappeared between internal liner and hull. Looked like It was heading to mast so thought I'd better find out what it's doing . One hour later discovered it went nowhere. In the process of crawling around ripped open leg on sharp fibreglass edge , on blood thinners so blood everywhere . Radio operational ,next week reroute depthsounder cable . More holes to drill. Love it.
