A good nose ride wasted - if only he had used the paddle for something other than keeping the sun out of his eyes

Shouldn't he be bustin' his fins out on that crumbling little section instead of gliding past it, going straight?

i think he had already pulled 10 helicopter 360's 15 air reverses 45 beyond vert reos and signed 60 topless chicks tits already on that wave before pulling that pose

he was rippin

well deserved winner

even if he didnt paddle back out standing up because he was stuffed

mixing the styles up is the key guys

ok ok

YOU DONT HAVE TO SHOUT MAGS

but if you are i'll have a op rum brother

say high to the family

after watching all the crew smashing it up on all these smaller wide nose wiggle sticks while i'm bogging it on my gigantic banana bender

makes me think i might be missing out on something???????

if you cant beat them (which i cant) then i might just have to join them

the darkside hear i come

just gotta rob a few more banks to pay for all my home renovations then i might have to extend onto a new quiver of sticks

any ideas from all the seabreeze crew on what the hell a fat arse 95kg stinky flea riddled red helmeted dogman should be looking for?????

open to ideas, suggestions, dressing downs, canings, or just straight out abuse, anything you can throw at me

bring it on

Dogman,

Here's an idea! Stop w@nk raving to your internet 'lovers' and '..trolling' seabreeze and get back to working on the house.

If you don't finish the roof and put the window's in before it bloody rains you won't just be looking for a new board you will be looking for a new place to live!!!!!

Any takers?...... how 'bout you Mags... his fleas aren't that bad! haha

Dog, don't get your hopes up. Not only will you have to win to get the priveledge of "....signing 60 topless chicks tits...." but you will have to get rid of your fleas and worms too!!!! Sad but true!

Sorry everyone, but he did ask for it,

"...... just straight out abuse, anything you can throw at me.."

I couldn't resist!

I'm with you Dog. The man is showing us there is more to SUP that pushing a big board to do what short boards do. JC rips in small and big. Variety is the spice of this sport. Lets not get railroaded by current trends.

Dogman

Yes the photo was taken by my wife from the hill behind the carpark before the battery in the camera gave out. It gave a good view of the comp area as you can see by the attached photo.

Hey Dogman,

Is that a red hat, helmet or a beany, I reckon you should have got extra points for being colour coordinated !

Remember guys, it goes back years - Mal riders are a different breed, and now stand up paddle boards are ridden by both short borders and long boarders. Its like having a salt on your ice cream, they just dont mix !

Hey garethg- as much as I hate to, I tend to agree with you. I think though it is fairer to say that longboarders and shortboarders are a different breed. As much as I would like to see the sport grow and incorporate both disciplines I honestly do not see it happening. Yes I am a mal/sup rider and I like to have a bit of a go on both the mal and the sup but I honestly have no interest in the "shortboard" way of sup ing and never will and I know a lot of people who have similar thoughts. Mate, I dont know the answer and I hope for the sports sake that it gets sorted out soon, before the attitudes fracture it for good.

Bilboard, You said "for the sake of the sport" . I think the competition based SUPers need to keep perspective here. The "sport" that I ,and I suspect 95% of all SUPers participate in is non competitive. I think most of that group could not care less about Rules committees ,councils ,state bodies etc . If people want to compete ......great but don't think that your speaking for "the Sport". My 2 cents worth......I think participation is the key, Festivals of surfing like OG sups shindig a couple of months back. But ALL surfing, short, long, body, Bodyboards, Kneeboards. Most young kids can't afford a SUP but here's a chance to give them the SUP bug at an early age. This sport is good for old men, kids, beginners, Women, experts, everybody. This sport will grow because all of us can see something in it for us and if we open our sport up to all comers in a festival situation SUP will be the winner because it's more fun................ Fair call guys. I really should have said for the sake of the competitive side of the sport. I am 100% in agreement with what you say. I agree that probably 95% of the sup population have no interest in comps and never will and that is totally understandable. I too am not overly interested in competing in sup events but would have a crack on the odd occasion if it was in a format that was still fun and sociable.
I think as far as the competitive side of it goes that the sport will split and align itself with either shortboard or longboard clubs/comps dependant on personal preference. Dont know whether thats a good or bad thing yet - only time will tell.
